One of my favorite director/writer of all time. You and your brother's movie's made my childhood and I want to become a director/writer as well. Thanks for this. It's very inspiring.

Peter and Bobby Farrelly are my favourite writers and especially directors since Kingpin. I not only believe that it is the continuity of what they are trying and failing at, I believe that their motivation comes from a point of generosity! I never really read too much about their story behind the scenes, but saw all their movies and the same actors, of many being disabled people. And I could be wrong, but I am sure, they do loads of generous work for them. Generosity is meant for OTHERS and it is SCARY. They wanted to make others laugh and naturally went through the scary part by winning in failing. Thank you for making this dent in the universe guys, you are inspiring!

I have to write a report on a ted talk for english. It surprises me that after watching it at least 3 times it still doesn't bore me. Well done and thank you!

This was awesome. Thank you Peter. I had never thought about expectations playing such a big role in being allowed to fail, and also love your view of how it's just a piece of success. Great stuff, thank you!

I think the important part of this is what he is saying at 10. minutes mark. You have to commit to one thing and binge even through the first fails. You have to learn how to accept failure and learn from that... And that is the hard thing to do....

This is a really good Ted X. Every kid should listen to it though it's not a unique idea. As an aside- I met Peter before he became the wildly successful Hollywood Producer/writer he is. We went out on a 'Date'. It was one of the biggest lessons I learned about Hollywood types. It was cliche but at the moment very informative as to what other people are currently talking about.
