Just sharing information Also 50% doesn't make the perfume wider/felt from a distance, It makes it lasts longer as the oil sticks to the skin or the clothes. People think the more concentration, the better, that’s not always the case. In fact it’s the opposite. I put around 20% maximum for my Eau De Parfum and it smells really strong and lasts a decent amount of time Brands like Dior and Chanel usually stick with EDP = 15-20% oils and EDT's = 5-15% which is also strong they barely make normal/pure perfumes And the normal concentration for a pure perfume is between 20-30 percent Also to save money use lower ratios like 20% oils and 80% compound/perfumers alcohol Rather than wasting your oils you’ll be making more long lasting perfumes over less nice smelling but not usually picked up by someone unless they’re really close to you. I also used to think that the more the better. The alcohol is the chemical that distributing the odor(makes people smell u from a distance) the lesser the alcohol, the narrow the smell. I like a wider smelling perfume coz whenever I’m wearing a perfume I want people to be able to pick it up Peace ✌️ ❤ anyways keep up the good work

Could you also share what is the concentration of ethanol you use also do you add galaxolide or distilled water or DPG to lower the evaporation rate. One more thing how do perfumes such as N°5 give so strong sillage and lonegtivity ?

@@besamemucho2014 It depends on the base note of your scent. Typically I would use around 3% of the total volume of oil. I would then use between 7-12% ratio of the total amount of oil to dilute with ethanol and macerate it for at least 6 months in an amber glass bottle.The longer it "sits", the smoother it will be. Hope that helps.

That’s a lot of perfume oil. You need maximum 20% perfume oil. I used to make the mistake of using a lot of perfume oil then I wondered why it wasn’t smelling. When you use that much oil, it just sits on the skin and doesn’t project. It should be 20% oil and 80% alcohol

Wrong. 50/50 is perfect for edp. FYI u made no sense lol please tell me how can u have more oil but it didn’t smell? 😂 more oil makes it last longer. ✌🏽

Shelf life’s for any sort of perfume is usually around 36 months before the scent degrades

What about dpg solution and fixative and distilled water and aging and blending for around 4-6 weeks You're waisting a lot of money adding 50% of perfume oil instead of 10%-20% only because using a lot of perfume oil only makes it longer lasting but you won't get that fresh and nice smell like original fragrances

DPG doesn’t do anything and is a polar compound. A “fixative” would throw off the formula since it’s a finished product already. There’s enough water content in the alcohol and no more should be added.

Both of those are strong fixatives and a combination of both would make a pretty potent base. Just make sure you’re using them in safe amounts.

Not necessarily bro depends on the quality of your fragrance oil use DPG for the alcohol to to blend with the oils perfectly this helps

Absent like they should be. You don’t need “fixative” because it would throw off the smell of the perfume oil and you don’t need water because there’s enough in the alcohol.

Assume 1 Oz total of non alcoholic perfume. I make it 25% perfume oil and the other 75% as a natural carrier oil (fractionated coconut oil, jojoba oil, etc) of your choice. That’s it.
