Nothing beats the washed hands. Wooden Serving spoon and bamboo knife, the filipino traditional way. Now we realize why our ancestors do that.

Great idea; will try this with my teenager. It could turn into a school science project for her, or at least a fun thing to bring to potlucks & picnics. Of course will probably need to wrap them in wax paper for sanitation purposes, but at least that's also compostable (the kind made from vegetable oil based paraffin) or at least can be used as kindling in the wood stove.

You could use a pasta roller and stack the pastry then use a cuter to make the shapes, this way you could cut a lot out at one time, maybe custom one to make an all in one fork/spoon, then lay it on a spoon and bake like that so you get the perfect shape .

great idea you gave me ! i was thinking to do spoons out of bamboo but makes more sense edible cutlery...few tips, to avoid the dough to rise while is baking use a soft fork to pinch a bit the cutlery without making holes,it helps to bake flat painting with oil before baking gives the cutlery a bit more nicer color cheers and regards from barcelona catalonia !!*!!

This is a great idea but wooden utensils is my preference. I just carry them with me. As well as my orb glass straws.
