That's exactly what I needed and you are correct: easy but not intuitive.

Okay, now I see where I was wrong... what you need to do is that you need to slide until your App is going to be in the first place on the list in order to put it on Desktop.

The first thing I tried was the drag and drop method, but my PC won't let me and won't let me open file location. It's like these basic features are disabled...

How do you customize window FILE icons in Word 10?

Won't work for My Documents. You need to open this PC. My documents and right click on left list that shows my documents, not pictures or music, etc. After right clicking on it ,it says send to, left click on it and it has a new list that says create desktop shortcut. Click on that and you now have a my documents shortcut on your desktop. If you do it from your menu list like it shows here it won't work!

I need some help please! I try and do this and it doesn't show anything I have tryed going to settings and adding the desktop icon and others through the personalization and it STILL doesn't do anything

Me neither. This is Windows' biggest failure.

I spent 20 minutes trying to do it and when I saw this it took 10 secs

It's just as easy. Simply select the website (URL) address from the top of the internet browser, right click and copy, then find a empty spot on your Windows Desktop, right click and paste. Your website shortcut will now be on your Windows Desktop.

So simple. Other KZreadr's make it much more complicated.
