It was a sad day when I had to throw away that Tom Ford Black Orchid lipstick! I loved it and it was bc of Lisa! Loved the tip for using the lipstick as a blush shade too. She is the best.

Definitely! I believe Her timeless beauty comes from her attitude and hair! So beautiful and elegant!

After so long I still think Lisa is one of the few people who deserve the title of a makeup artist. The way she experiments with colours, finish, placement and tools to achieve the look she has in her mind is the true definition of art.

leukatz maybe you know this (and I don’t mean it in a rude way at all), but Lisa has been a makeup artist in magazine/print and film for I think 20 or so years. She’s been the creative director of Shiseido and other brand(s) and is currently the global creative director of Lancôme along with doing makeup for top celebrities. The fact that she still takes time out to do KZread just boggles my mind because she doesn’t need to do this at all! And the fact that she donates her KZread earnings to charity just adds to her amazing-ness!

Exactly when I think of Lisa all I see is artistry. I'm a lover of all things history, and with a deep love of makeup history. I'm saving to buy her book (and throwing hints at my husband lol). Lisa shows people that makeup is a girly frilly or superficial thing, its art plain and simple. Is Lisa a makeup artist?.......absolutely but more so Lisa is an Artist!! 🎨💄❤

I love that you read comments on your IG and posted this in response to the comments, it makes me feel that you care about your customers and want people to enjoy the products they buy! So excited for my lipsticks to arrive now and play with them!

Get This Glowing I should’ve definitely bought Rainbow Spill and Go Lightly when they launched, but was going through a “see no evil buy no evil” phase to try and curb my makeup spending (it’s not going that disastrously despite what it might look like) so I completely missed out. I’ll probably pick them up next spring tho.

I used to buy only nude lipsticks, I was always intimidated by the dark colour lipsticks, until I watched your Tom Ford Orchid video, now I go to the darkest colours without fear, because I get the most value and many looks just from one lipstick. The Red Cat I didn’t hear her say that in the video but I’m British so it probably wouldn’t have registered anyway 🤣 It means putting something down (or maybe in this case, on her face) without care and attention, as in “My son came home from school and plonked his school bag on the kitchen table, knocking over a bottle of milk in the process”. I couldn't resist when I saw the Velvet Decade. It brought memories of my mother's vintage lipstick in this deep brown colour I was totally in love with. Elegance of this lipstick is just indescribable. I'm looking forward to seeing, holding and having it on my lips!

She isn't the one to follow rules, if anything she makes up the rules (no pun intended, but there you go). This is a great tutorial! 😍

I've been really wanting to wear dark lipstick lately but I haven't figured out how just yet! Especially since I wear quite thick rimmed glasses, this is so helpful Lisa! Love lots as always! ☺️🖤

God, I sooo love that dark plum/deep wine color. It looks so sophisticated to me. Definitely requires a very neat look and confidence to wear it

I’m in love with these dark shades. Especially decade. It really reminds me of this bonnebelle liquid bronzer stain that I had as a teen. It was this red brown translucent gel that was meant to be blended into the skin to look tan but I loved to tap it onto my cheeks and onto my lips and top my lips with a heavy dose of juicy clear gloss. This is giving me grown up but still girlie vibes. 😍 Makeup is such a mood reflecting medium. My mom passed away only a few months ago and I feel myself drawn to these bold moody hues. Such an unexpected feeling to feel almost emboldened by finding the strength within yourself after suffering such a blow.

I wear dark red lipstick every day in the winter season when my skins just turns total ivory. I just go in my lid crease with taupe eyeshadow and the just a touch of highliter in the inner eye. A nice dramatic black wing and some mascara and I am ready to go with my dark lip. Looks quite a lot like the 50th pin up makeup...but only work for me if I am really pale. But I love the soft brown shades you use also...more natural ^^
