So this is all a very nice treat. I ended up with a brain bleed last week and was about a day away from dying, and without having watched any videos or being able to play, in hospital, i turned on youtube at last to see all this fanciness. This kind of thing is going to be the extent of my excitement for a while, so im super happy to see it.

Hopefully the update goes live for Xbox at some point...I'm excited to see what the update delivers...I'm ready to customize a few ships.

Too bad the colours don't necessarily show for others in MP. And it would be nice if we could create ships mixing the parts from different ship classes. Then we would see some awesome new ships instead of only be able to create rehases of the ingame ships already available.

It's amazing to me this community sometimes, it's capable of such positivity and enthusiasm but also such vitriol and complaining. You're exactly right that this feature has been asked for since practically Day 1. And now we have it and for some, it's not good enough, it's not exactly what they wanted (which I doubt they even know what they wanted) and so they nitpick and complain. The attitude of it being popular to just dump on everything and complain endlessly can go away any time

yeah. i thought that would make everyone so happy but sadly seems like some not happy with it. i think that is just start of something great 😃❤

After experimenting last night i realized every space station will provide a different combination of SC slots and stats with the same ship parts, so you can try to find a space station that would make this ship maxed out. SC slots and stats also appear to change with different part combinations within each station. Not sure how this translates across accounts etc. but interesting with enough time and patience you can actually get your perfect ship.

Im gonna try to build it in a system that a 4sq fighter was found in, so it as least has that combo in the seed pool. There are a few connected sc slot fighters on the exchange.

I ran across some of your planets during Omega. Thanks for all the help in game and out of game.

Hopefully more updates in the future gives us the other ships' parts and maybe we can get an "Illegal Space Station" that can work on disassembling and putting together a powerful Pirate Ship, OR a Sentinel Ship. Since I'm sure the normal space ships do not want to mess with the Space Cops. Right? It'd be interesting if we could see a "Living Space Station" that could operate the same thing and more, but I think it's a bit too much to "assemble" a "Living Ship" as weird or cool as that sounds.

@@hero2u1 I played with the ship customization tool last night. It's totally broken IMHO. We cannot even change a ship to recolor it afterwards? Try Starfield for a better experience. They at least allow us to change any ship at any time. NMS seems like a big waste of time to me these days.

Found a system that made an S-Class fighter with four adjacent super charge slots. Not a perfect square or L shape, but not too bad. Way off in galaxy 246 I think.

Personally I won't touch the ship customization at all. I almost never use any other ship other than living ship or sentinel ships. Until this new feature expands on all of the ships and even adds some unique designs what you can't find out in the world, I won't touch it. Only things what I like most is new game engine changes and new station designs.

In the orbital trailer they had dark grey and black as colors. Dissapointed its not avaible. If they took it out they shouldnt of had it in the trailer.

It's in the game files but it's disabled temporarily due to Shuttle not ready 😊 for public.

Love the space station changes, but the ships are kinda dull.......until they release more options at least! Note: I have been playing since launch so I have all the ships I might need 😉

NMS: You can make and customize ships with your own design specs and colors. Me: 😍😍 NMS: You can only use the colors we allow and we're sorry but the color 'black' isn't one of them. Me: 🤬🤬 That aside, I'm really thankful they added in the ability to make and customize your own ships. I made mine a needle-nosed dark red fighter with TIE (Stardancer) fins, though I wish they had the color customization option such as a color palette generator to make any color you desire. Overall, this was a good update. Hopefully in the future, they'll add X-Class starships, multi-tools, and even freighters.
