This was by far the most useful and easiest-to-follow tutorial on creating custom dice in TTS -- thank you so much for making this!

I really thought making a custom die would be a lot harder, but your tutorial helped show me how easy it can be, so thank you for that :)

I'm not sure why I don't have a tab for Local Files, but you can find templates on your local machine by following the path: \Steam\steamapps\common\Tabletop Simulator\Modding\ The Steam folder is likely in C:\Program Files (x86)

I'm a lil stuck - I don't seem to have a modding folder in TTS on my computer. Do I have to download it from somdwhere? Thanks for this vid! Super helpful.

I know that you can actually change the color of the dice on the right click menu but, what if I want to use a white colored symbol / icon on the dice? As JPG files would lead to white background.

Can you make dice which multiply the value of other dice rolled? Like a die that lands on a certain face changes the total value x2 or something?

With scripting, could you have it calculate values when grouping? Like highlighting the group and it says three fish, two tracks, etc.?

It is definitely possible, and a solution would likely start with using something like the "getSelectedObjects()" function for a player: api.tabletopsimulator.com/player/. If you got a list of the dice that are currently selected, then you should be able to use the value information from each to assemble a hover message. Not sure what it would look like off the top of my head, but as with most things with scripting, I'm sure it is doable.

Nice tips, a little too long, have to scroll the video. Too bad everyone have to stretch their content over 10 min, when it's actually 3 min.

Always tricky to balance explaining things thoroughly while also keeping the videos concise. It's easy for me to get talking haha, definitely an area I am continually trying to improve. Hopefully the labeled chapters at least made it easy to skip and find what you are looking for!
