These drapes are gorgeous! I love the fabric pattern and color! Really classy. One thing a drapery maker told me a while back is that if you want to have your drapes hang with the folds properly in sync with the pleats (which, like you said, is the owner's choice) you need to iron the folds into the panel before they're hung. I tried that and it made a world of difference.
I love making drapes and all home decor. Glad people are going back to drapes I can’t stand blinds.
Love the window treatments. This is the way my Mom made drapes 60 years ago. Everything old is new again.
Finally a crafter that sews and doesn’t depend on hot glue 👍. THIS is a high end look.
This is a very good idea, I hope you are always healthy and I hope the audience is always healthy, thank you
I didn’t even know they had that strip to sew on! Thank you!
I never thought about sewing my own drapes! Thank you for the tutorial and inspiration.

Oh you’ll save a fortune👍
I enjoyed this video. I made one bedroom's set of drapes this way using heavy weight double size bedsheets quite a few years ago now. I used white ones as liners and solid blue on the room side, and the curtain tape and hooks have survived just fine, very durable and practical. I can add my recommendation to yours! 😊 👍
I just love your drapes! When I first started making drapes I thought it was going to be challenging but after the first one, I was hooked!
The drapes make an amazing transformation to the window. They look like an interior designer did them! Love love ❤❤
I know this is about drapes, but I also love that ironing board cover!
Such a simple tutorial with great impact! Thanks for taking the panic out of a diy project!! Love the material used! 💗
Wow I never knew about pleet tape!!!!!! AWESOME JOB

These turned out amazing and you did a great job explaining how to make them! I totally am going to try this! Thank you!
I love the elegant look of pleated drapes. I learned to make my own drapes a few years ago & made them for every window. Recently I'd decided I wanted to line them. It's been a bit of a chore & a major upward learning curve but I have 4 of 12 panels done now and the difference is wonderful. Disassembling the drapes without harming the fabric was the hardest part. Drapery fabric was to expensive to start over.
I love you! Thank you for all your inspirations. I used to has such a fabulous design eye, but lost it...I can’t see it...anymore. So I really appreciate your talents! 🥰
I love this tutorial!! Thanks! That gave me courage to finally upgrade my bedroom curtains. ❤

Very very beautiful print and colour of curtains. Good job.
Wow!!! You chose BEAUTIFUL fabric!!! They look amazing in your breakfast nook! The accent pillows are so pretty. I love the pattern! Thank you for the clear instructions and again, Wow! You are such an inspiration!
The drapes are beautiful. I would recommend that you wash the material first before you sew in case there is some shrinkage. I've learned from personal experience.

Thanks so much for this video. I was able to make my own cafe curtain based on your instructions. Happy Holidays!
Replacing the RV drapes with blackout drapes for the front windshield. Thanks for the simplicity -I am using 2 Eclipse panels purchased at Walmart (42x84) but turning sideways to pleat and hang at the 42 “ length-need to check JoAnns for the pleated tape. Thank you!! ☺️
Wow those floral curtains are just lit😍
Beautiful!
Wow. 😳 😯 🤩 🤩 🤩

You're so awesome, those drapes are gorgeous!❤🙆♀️
It's not the making of the drapes that stops me - it's the paying for the fabric. Anything that doesn't look cheap, isn't cheap.

I heard that. I live in a historic home and my son's room faces North and is always freezing in the winter, so I'm making thermal lined curtains. $84 (with sales AND coupons!) for one panel 😵 $200 if it wasn't all on sale. 💀 ...and this doesn't include thread or any notions 😭

I use flat sheets from thrift stores for large projects. A lot of the time you can find great, new sheets for a fraction of the price!

I know this comment is a bit older, but if you’re struggling to pay for nice fabric, check out the discount section at a fabric store near you! I went to JoAnn’s today and got a yellow paisley fabric that was originally $20 a yard for $3 a yard. I paid less than $20 total and I’ll have cute boho curtains for my apartment in an hour or two! I also second what the other comments said about thrifting bedsheets. I redid the cushion on my papasan chair with a thrifted flannel sheet and I’ve made myself a few dresses with them before, too :)

Gorgeous 😍 I really need to learn to sew 😩
They look very nice! Thanks for sharing
The space is so beautiful!
Thank you for the tips. Found the video once I bought the fabric and borrowed a sewing machine.
Oh, let's see. I undertook 108" thermal-lined embossed blue velvet drapes for 22 windows in our house two years ago? I've made about half of them, and I've needed a huge motivation to continue. I also made some that were a tan and royal blue flocked complementary drapes for the living room sets. OMG, you made handling those drapes look so easy, granted they were not lined and not as long. They are beautiful, and I love your style and fabric. New to your channel. You are easy to watch!
It doesn’t matter so much for your decorative curtains, but if you going to draw the curtains you need to take into account any obvious pattern repeat and match them up, meaning increased amount of fabric I like to use 2.5 times window width as I have curtain tracks that have an overlap to avoid gapping when curtains are drawn I also use a deeper hem and add weights inside the hem - my mother used to use old English 1d coins as we are in the U.K. ! but you can buy them specially for the purpose- you don’t need too many but they do help with the crispness of the hem and help the curtains hang neatly Don’t forget to sew little pockets within the hem to keep the weights spaced evenly and for ease of removal prior to washing / dry cleaning Your curtains look lovely and everyone should be inspired to give it a go

Wow - beautiful! Thank you for this very inspiring and well explained video.
Love these! My mom keeps telling me its easy to sew curtains...my aunt keeps telling me to JUST START sewing, thats how you get over the fear of screwing up and even gave me her machine because she got a newer one and I still am afraid, lol! Thanks for this, you make it truly look like anyone can do it....I mean that in a good way, lol....I just have to pull out the machine and plug it in and just practice!
whow whow whow whow yeh I love you thank you. A new house that has been neglected so just what I needed you are so good thank you xxxx
Bought fabric today. I am ecstatic. Not only perfect for wallpaper (1 wall) but area rug too!!! It just jumped out at me. Best part, found it at upholstery shop and got for $5/yd. Going to make panels & window cushion seat.😁

Wonderful tutorial
Those are gorgeous! You really talented Christina! Is there anything you can't do. Even made me want to buy a sewing machine and give it a try.
Hello. Beautiful drapes.
I love your drapes. We purchased our house in the 80s. I had ruffled curtains then. It the late 90s I switched to valances which opened up the room to the yard a LOT! We have a pool right off the kitchen/breakfast room & den. I think I'm ready to go back to panels that flank each side of the window. Our backyard is pretty private, so I don't close them. I just need the right fabric. I have that Waverly ivy wallpaper that needs to go too. UGH! I hate removing wallpaper. The breakfast and foyer are the last 2 rooms that need to go. HUGS~Donna
Great video! I'm going to have to make these....you make it look so easy! Thanks!
Great tutorial. A simple way to achieve a very nice result
Looks great, Christina! I have tried sewing on a machine and by hand. It's truly not for everyone! Give me a canvas or wall, paint and a brush, and I can go to town! 😉😍
Oooh, it's big step just watching your great video:) Think I'll start with a test curtain first, on my mum's (now mine) very old workhorse Bernina sewing machine. Excited and nervous at the same time!
Lovely, not seen those hooks before make life a lot easier, than pulling the 3 threads to draw pleats in, I use ribbon top, middle, & bottom to set pleats, tied for a day or two. X❤X
Thank you Christina. My friend has asked me to make some drapes for his kitchen, so this tutorial is exactly what I needed to see today. 💚🧵💜✂️💙🧡💓

I'm really not the best housekeeper at times 😂
This is so awesome! I’ve had my sewing machine since I was pregnant with my first.... I go through spells when I bring it out and make everything.... then I put it away (not far) until I get the urge to make something again. I do that with ALL my creativity... years ago I made a set of punched pleat drapes without knowing this tape existed.... my how much easier this would have made my project! Thanks for sharing... now I was to pull out my machine again. ❤️
FABULOUS!!
Thank you I was just quoted $1200 - $1900 for my 2 story living room windows. I sew but have never sewn drapes, I think I'll try it.
Great job!
Thank you.
