Dry onion soup mix
2/3 c dried minced onion
3 T parsley flakes
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp celery salt
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
In a bowl, mix together all ingredients. Stir with a whisk until all ingredients are well incorporated. Place dry mix in an air tight container and store in a cool dry place. Ensure that you shake the container prior to use, to ensure that all ingredients are well incorporated.
Use 4 T in place of 1 packet of dry onion soup mix.
Dry cream of chicken soup mix
2 T dried onion flakes
1/4 c chicken broth bullion powder
2 1/2 c all purpose flour
2 c powdered milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp celery seed
In a large bowl add all ingredients and whisk until well incorporated. Store in a airtight container in a cool, dry place. Prior to use shake well to ensure that all ingredients are well incorporated. To use: add 1/3 c mix to 1/4 c hot water, when your recipe calls for cream of chicken soup, whisk together until well incorporated.
