How To Make Cosplay Chest Armor Using FlexFoam-iT!™ 15 SLOW Urethane Foam

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this cosplay tutorial video, we show how you can use FlexFoam-iT!™ 15 SLOW to create lightweight, very strong chest armor. Red Hood helmet by darkknightfx.com/
FlexFoam-iT!™ 15 has a relatively long, 2 minute pot life. It is a part of our “Tuff Stuff” line of foams which are exceptionally strong.
www.smooth-on.com/pw/products...
FlexFoam-iT!™ Series foams are premium quality water blown flexible foams that can be used for a variety of industrial, special effects and art & crafts and projects. With several to choose from, uses include making theatrical props (swords, knives, hammers, etc.), industrial gaskets, custom padding and cushioning, and more. FlexFoam-iT!™ foams are also used as repair materials for seats, cushions and archery targets. SO-Strong™ colorants can be added for color effects.
Part A and B liquids are combined, mixed and poured into a mold or other form (apply release agent if necessary). Mixture will rise and cure quickly to a solid, flexible foam. Foams vary by density and offer good physical properties. The lower the number, the more the foam expands.

I have bought and used this and it's very cool, its alittle thin so I'm having to use it twice on the one mold after the first layer is dry. Do you have a product like this that can expand around 8 to 10 times its size rather than 4 and do the same job with amour pieces?

this may sound like a crazy idea... but what if you attached the fabric or clothing to the foam right after you pour it in the mold? In that liquid state, it might penetrate the fabric and would basically be part of the fabric as it cures. Though you would have to be extremely accurate during placement because you only have one chance.

I’m wondering if it is stronger than regular urethane ? I am looking for a material that is between foam latex and urethane, something that would look and feel closer to foam latex but stronger, also something stronger than urethane, most of buddy that I know who have Batman armor ripped it… Something to suggest ? :) Thank you !
