Width needs to be 3.5 not 4 and even when I did it exactly right it still doesn’t work, but good job that you got yours to work it looks good

Please note that the triangles need to be equilateral (the same measurement on all 3 sides) in order for this to work. His measurements are off.

AUNTIE SEPTICEYE The measurement given here is incorrect. I tried twice and the result was same=MESS!!! So i tried another tutorial and found out that the measurement should be 22cm and 3.5cm not 4cm!

The measurements are not correct

i learned how to do this from some one qualified to talk about hexaflexagons, and being a pursuer of recreational mathematics i can assure you that most of this is baloney. you do not need to make the folds perfect, even though it helps, it does not mean the end of the world and your hexaflexagon will work just fine either approximated or made precisely. it is of optimal choice that you use white paper and color instead of gluing multicolored triangles, as the excess can seep through the paper and thus disrupting the working order of the flexagon. your measurements are as presumed by most comments; incorrect. also, the folds aren't meant to be scored (at least with as sharp of a knife as you have), they are better of creased tightly as the former can affect the durability of your craft. to diy blaster: i am flooded with happiness due to your interest in this long forgotten, though beautiful, art. however, i would like you to do some more research on the topic before making such a detailed craft video. these complaints are meant to be read as suggestions rather than insults, and i hope you take them into consideration. to the confused individuals who have stumbled into this video and are disappointed at this failing craft: copy/paste the following into your browser for a more dedicated tutorial; kzread.info/dash/bejne/iH2Kq8egg9eeYc4.html -with most sincerity, Henry

Guys here procedure is correct but dimensions are wrong. Use equilateral triangle height formula √3/2(side). U will get correct measurement. For example , 5cm equilateral triangle take height as 4.4 cm as dimension, for 4 cm take 3.5 as dimension. For above tutorial in placw of 4cm take 3.5 as dimension, u will get it
