@@kellyburrow8277 I prefer CP soap I think the quality of the soap is better ... But I think MP is cheaper ... It also depends on the quality of your ingredients the higher the quality the more expensive it is... But how I save costs on my soap I go to a lot of thrift stores or look online for used soap making kite/equipment.... Also I make soap every 6 months so I'll save up until I have a small stockpile then I'll make a large batch at one time....

Add ur lye a lil at a time and u will have absolutely 0 fumes. It does heat up just the same , but u will have absolutely 0 fumes or smell at all. And one the lye is dissolved or u can wait for it to go clear and then add to oils.

Hi! I really enjoyed this video it is very informative, just curious since you are using lye, how long do the soaps need to be set aside to fully cure? and should they be wrapped in plastic wrap when curing? and also what is the ratio of water to lye? I recently started melt and pour soap making and I am very interested in learning about cold press, but I am not sure the measurment's I should be using when it comes to lye...Thank you!!

Hi! I’m no expert, I made my own olive oil and lye soaps (Castile) years ago. Usually the soap is safe to handle after 24 to 48 hours. But the longer they sit and dry out, the better. A lot of water is still in the soap until it’s done “curing”. 30 days is great.

I know Soap Queen says temp should be 120C, but you will have better luck keeping it at emulsion or light trace easier. Most soapers aim for 100C or less, some even 72C.

Hi love how this message reaches you well. ❤️ When you say the soap should be 10 degrees from one another, what does that mean exactly? Does it mean to have the lye at 90 and the oil 80? Can you give an example? Thank you so for sharing your method of soap making. It so hard to find soap making classes up north. 😞
