☕ How to Make Cold Process Coffee Soap - A luxurious recipe with shea butter and cocoa butter!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hello coffee lovers and soap makers! This cold process coffee soap recipe is one of the most luxurious and lathery soaps I've ever made! Not to mention the gorgeous coffee colour, the fragrance, and the fantastic combination of oils and butters in the soap.
In this video I give a full, detailed tutorial of the entire process I use to make my cold process coffee soap using freshly brewed coffee. I also give an alternative method for adding coffee to your soap using instant coffee. Make sure you watch to the end to see the lather test!

I love your videos; you use plain english, don’t play music over you’re explanations (many people do and it makes hearing the words difficult), you seem like someone who honestly just wants to share their knowledge, you’re easy to follow no matter what skill level someone has who is watching, and you are a kind and sincere happy person.

I took a break from soapmaking for a couple years. It's so addicting!! I made enough soap for 3 years, and we're a family of 5! I miss it though. I'm planning on returning, but your videos were my "go to" videos for soapmaking. I've tried cold and hot process, and I loved them both. Something about using natural, fresh ingredients and also the satisfaction of making it yourself keeps me coming back. Thank you for sharing your videos with us. 🙏
I really like how you show us the whole process and include your thoughts and reasonings when you deviate from the usual protocol. I especially like that you show us the gelling, cutting, and lather! Thanks so much! The scientist in me is satiated by your soap making. :)

@@angelinagarcia112 The % is actually really very helpful. If Elly were to use exact weight measurements then you might end up with more or less soap than you were hoping for. With using %, you can tailor the weight measurements for the amount of soap that you want. For example if a recipe called for 50% Olive oil, Elly might need 100 ounces for her mold, you may need 32 ounces for your mold and I may need 5 ounces for my mold. We are all using the same exact recipe but the amounts of each ingredient that we need are all different.
I made this soap - it has to be the best recipe I have ever used! Luxurious is the word. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your knowledge and recipes.

Hi Elly! I made this soap a few days ago and I'm in love. It's a lovely color (so far..lol) and the grounds are beautifully suspended throughout. The scent is heavenly.. seems to smell like a chocolate cake baking with coffee brewing at the same time! Thankyou for a gorgeous easy recipe! Cheers! :)

WOW - I'm a newbie soap maker so I've only tried about a dozen different recipes, but this is SO far above all of them! I'm in love with it. I'm going to make this again and again, I can't believe how soft and luxurious the lather is. And my soaps are only 2 weeks old - can't wait to see how they age! Thank you so much for sharing
I am going to experiment with your recipe by making one with coffee and one with water and then adding some white pigment to the batter then I’m going to swirl it in the mold and call it coffee and cream! Thank you for the recipe. I will work on those for Christmas gifts this year. 2023.

I can imagine the aroma! The lather effect is amazing. I will definitely tweak this into a conditioner bar. Thanks for sharing
I enjoy watching you make a coffee soap. Very well done!
I use a very fine ground coffee and put it directly in my lye water solution. The heat "brews" the coffee. Then I add to my oils when the temp is right. I am happy with this method.

I watched alot of coffee soap making tutorials and I think this is the best one so far, not only is the measurement in grams which I can easily understand but it also demonstrates the trace ability based on the oils. I formulated my own recipe with the similar ratios and oils except I don't have rice brand and it's interesting to see how it might possibly turn out. Simple but good recipe

for the coffee recipie, it calls for 150 g shea butter and 75 g cocoa butter, can I use 225 coffee butter? I only have coffee butter right now and I thought it would be perfect but I do not want to mess up the recipie, I will buy shea if I have to but wanted to ask about combining the weight of 2 butters into 1 butter?
