The level of detail, bravo!
Was following a recipe by an idiot from a book, no word about the chilling and the fact that only the cream part should be used, wadted good 10 minutes making "mixed coconut cream" Thank you for the tips 👌
When the pandemic wipes out all of the heavy whipping cream in stores, but hey there's a few cans of coconut milk in the pantry! ^^

Anna L kzread.info/dash/bejne/fJ1kvKiyktS9dJs.html Not healthier. It [(coconut oil)] tastes good but plant-based does not make it healthier, [although most vegetable oils are pretty good]. It has slightly more fat content by the same volume and its saturated fat is almost double that of the heavy cream but there is more to it. This video link addresses all that. [Edited. More specific.]

I keep at least one can of coconut milk in the fridge at all times so when I need one chilled it's already ready.
My advice to you is try to open the can upside down when you take it out of the fridge, that way you can pour off the liquid and you left with the cream. Thanks

Easiest way to get the liquid out, punch a hole through the bottom where the liquid is and drain it into a cup in case you need to use it later.

Thank you for the great tips! I'm really enjoying these videos. I keep a couple of cans of coconut milk in the fridge at all times just in case I need coconut cream on the spur of the moment. I appreciate your giving the brands that you feel have the most success. When you mentioned the tapioca starch it made me think of another possible option. I have Instant Clearjel in my cupboard. I might try a small amount of that next time my coconut whipped cream flops.
Thank you! You're awesome. 🌱

Thank you so much for this video! I have been playing around with some of the above coconut milks and after a while it gets spendy trying to figure out which ones work best. This was really helpful.

I'm glad that I found your video. I've grown tired of the conventional whipped cream cans. I somehow always forget to not play with the top. Which I suspect that by doing that it inadvertently exhausts the gas within. Thank you for this well detailed video.
Thanks for the very helpful info. I want to make a vegan chocolate shake and have always missed the whipped cream since I became vegan 6 years ago.

I don't have any of these coconut creams/milks where I'm from so it wouldn't be possible for me to get any of them, but the method itself I'll definitely be implementing. Thank you.
I like to sweeten with pure coconut sugar, which is likely the very best sweetener available today that is not harmful to the health. I put it into the cream just before it's finished stiffening.
I use maple butter or paste to my whipped coconut cream. Love the video.

I tried making homemade whip cream one time and it NEVER firmed up. I felt like I mixed forever but it was probably 2 minutes. I guess I need to whip longer. I looked up this recipe because I purchased an ice shaver. Last time I went to the big city I bought a Hawaiian shaved ice that had this coconut cream on top and it was to die for delicious. I’d love to recreate what I had.
Thank you for this info! So if I shook the can by mistake, will it not work?

Thank you for the video! I tried this with Trader Joe's recently (wish I had watched this first!). It looked okay as I whipped, but as soon as I'd put sugar (granulated) into it, it'd get ruined. Separated, watery....yuck. Looking forward to trying with Target brand--your blog has a comment that says it works!

Does is melt like regular whipped cream? And has any one ever used Azul coconut milk, and does it work well?
I had to laugh at my self because I had to get up a few times. First I stuck the coconut milk in the freezer, then switched it to the fridge, then added a second can! Haha! Thanks for all the great tips!
I bought coconut biona whipping cream organic in a can. When I opened it looked light gray and the water was seperated. I started to whipp it with elect. mixer and after 2 min it started to get very lumpy and strangly messy. I had to compost it. So strange. I haven't yet opened the other can. Do u have any experience with Biona make?
Curious why you didn’t mention the Thai Kitchen brand? The flavor is divine
Idea could you add a little aquafaba if it doesn't stiffen up???

Have you ever tried coconut milk brand from Indonesia?
Trader Joe's has changed and eliminated products that I used. Their stuff is not as healthy as people think they are. Don't really shop there anymore. Thanks for showing all the different product choices for making coconut whipping cream!

How does the coconut milk get creamy after chilling? Mine just became hardened. Is it the brand you use or do you have to let it sit out for a while after taking it out of the fridge? If so, for how long?

Well so delicious is sold out everywhere literally in my area so I went on KZread because ineed to fulfill my sweet tooth when doing this intermittent fasting I found substitutes work better over cold turkey. So I put 2 cans of 365 coconut cream in the fridge over night it was cream not milk I typed in milk and this came up so around 4pm I put both cans in the fridge and took out 4pm next day didn’t look like the video still cream didn’t separate however I mixed for 5 min and 😍 added monk fruit powered sweetener and vanilla and I’m satisfied.
