How To Make Coconut Sweet Bread
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
One of my greatest cooking blunders to date was making a PERFECT sweetbread for my bredren Sekou for Christmas in 2020 and not writing down the recipe. I've been trying to recreate that recipe ever since. This particular one comes closest so I decided to share.
Don't be like me folks, always write down your recipes especially when trying them for the first time.

At home..but felt that I was in your kitchen, smelling the rich aroma goodness of your 'coconut sweet bread baking in the oven.' It's a must try for me.

Simply ❤️ when you’re on with a recipe. I was just quietly laughing and enjoying the local parlance but more curious to see how the sweetbread would turn out. Sweetbread is my fave and I will attempt following your recipe which looks delish! It’s such a pleasure looking @ your videos and as always 🙏for inviting us into your kitchen 🥰🇹🇹

Looks delicious! But I think sweet bread can stand on its own, without cheese. Just my opinion
Ngl this is shockingly close to my recipe that I've been making for a couple years now. I must try this tonka bean you keep raving about some time though, I'm interested to see what the flavor is like.

You’re too funny. You have me laughing. This sweet bread looks close to my mother’s sweetbread which I think is the best sweetbread ever. Nonetheless you have a new sub!
Good day Baidawi. Nice vid as always. 1️⃣0️⃣ Well I guess sweetbread on de roster for Saturday. Thanks for keeping the culture alive. Besides Tonka bean my mom sometimes used "sapote" too. Needing de glace fruits and cherries though. Sorry. Watching your numbers. 👀 Hoping to see a nice Q&A with friends maybe for the 100k. Hint hint. 😉

😅😅 Niceness! Let us know how it turns out!
Hi can you try a gluten free one please 🙏.
This does have the look of sweet bread. The sandy, yet moist inner texture, the strong crust and, You're right, the rough top crust. I was shocked though, about the cheese. Ate a lot of sweet bread in my youth but never came across any with cheese. I think that part's weird.
Post the ingredients and recipe please thanks looks delicious
Hi what size pan? And do I have to put the egg?

Badawi I'm not questioning your cooking skills at all but tablespoons of baking powder sounds like plenty?
@eatahfood

That might have been a mistake, it should be teaspoon. But I made this recipe recently and I am almost sure I followed it to the letter and got perfect results. Will have to double-check to confirm

Oh gouch; stop showing off na, just send 3 for me.
This looks very dry. It seems like it baked too long . Perhaps you could glaze it to add some moisture.
3 tablespoons of baking powder???? it's a sweet bread why salt? switchout the tablespoons for teaspoons and omit salt you are good.
@eatahfood
Жыл бұрын
"tablespoons" was an error, it's actually teaspoons but salt is very important when making any type of dessert as it accentuates the different flavors being used in the dish.

Too much baking powder, should be 3 teaspoon.
I don't know what style of sweet bread you're trying to reproduce. I suspect it's Trinidadian, due to your accent. I'm familiar with traditional style Barbadian sweet bread and it did not have any of those hideous mixed fruits and maras. cherries that they are putting in the bread nowadays, according to what I have been seeing online. This is almost traumatic. Thank you for not putting that crap in your bread!
Scoping for talent huh? Eat a sweet to catch sweet? lol... BTW: Document everything you do in the kitchen from now on, so when you hit on something nice, you can easily go back to your notes/videos my friend.
