How to Make Chicken Cutlets: A Conversation with Colin

Colin goes to the kitchen today to make one of his favorite dishes -- follow along at home!

Colin's Cutlet Recipe:
Ingredients
Thinly sliced chicken breasts
Bread crumbs (preferably Progresso Italian)
Salt and pepper to taste
Parmesan cheese (optional)
Olive oil
Eggs
Instructions
1) Coat a pan in olive oil. Put on medium heat.
2) Put breadcrumbs in bowl. Salt and pepper those crumbs. Filet chicken breasts. Crack egg into second bowl and beat.
3) Dunk chicken breast in egg.
4) Dunk egged chicken breast into breadcrumbs.
5) Place chicken in pan. Wait 10 minutes.
6) Make sure the one side is browning. If it looks good, flip.
7) Wait another 10 minutes.
8) Eat.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, roommates Greg and Colin sit down, and Greg throws a random conversation topic at Colin. In return, Colin usually says something crazy and you get a chuckle. Subscribe so you don't miss the madness.

Also wanted to say: Colin, Greg...you are my two favorite people on the internet by a wide margin. I like how you guys just are who you are. I know a lot of people think it but don't say it: You guys are inspiring. Honestly, Greg, your story makes me man the fuck up sometimes when I complain about random things regarding life and pushing to accomplish your dreams. And Colin, you actually - legitimately - motivated me to go back to college and work on getting my degree with a lot of your view points and academic ramblings. So both of you guys...thank you, so much. You'll never know how inspiring you guys are from me typing words on a keyboard, but you guys legitimately make a difference in a lot of people's lives every day. Thanks, guys.

Same. I love these basic cutlets =). I use Kewpie and garlic for a sauce. So simple, so tasty. :O

Not sure if you wanted an answer, but I felt compelled since I wanted an answer when I saw this video ages ago. Since then I've owned multiple electric burners and now have a gas stove top. A lot of budget friendly electric burners don't have a real temperature control. They just turn on and off throughout the cooking process to simulate the same thing. Kind of like a microwave when you adjust the power setting. It doesn't cook at a lower temperature, but at the usual high temperature turning on/off over the allotted time. Gas burners remain on the entire time and have temperature control. Higher cost electric burners will have a real temperature setting though. Have fun cooking
