What thickness and diameter is ideal for jump rings for charm bracelets?

I just payed my bangles so wrong. I didn’t put them between those brackets I put them behind on the single side or back side. Now I gotta redo it lol thank you!

I do because I don’t want my charms too move all around the bangle if that makes sense like I want them to be able to move but like still be in that spot not all over the bangle. You can do it either way if you prefer
