Definitely great for practice but not a replacement for an actual canvas since cardboard will absorb water and lose it's shape. Would've definitely done this in my school and college days 😝

I had art paper bf,that was a thicc layer so if u want it,go to a library then find Sylhet grammar schools drawing copy.

This canvas is suitable for beginners . Very cost friendly. Just a tip: you can apply a layer of gesso on the Bukram so that it becomes a bit waterproof.

@@jaishivshiv6985 Gesso is primer for acrylic paints. It improves the surface of the canvas, gives it perfect even absorption and texture when you paint using acrylics. You can see the paint looks patchy and uneven on the buckram canvas in the video, that's because some parts of the canvas absorbs more paint than the others. It will not happen when you use gesso. Factory made Gesso is expensive and cost over 100rs for 100ml. But you can make it yourself by mixing plaster of Paris, Fevicol (any PVA type white glue will do) and white acrylic paint. There are also other recipes that use chalk powder, white cement, limestone powder or baby powder instead of plaster. search for homemade gesso recipes.

It's good for beginners who are learning and don't want to spend lot of money on canvas. It's a good alternative for beginners. A good canvas cost around 1600 for 6 pcs. It's too bad for a beginner to wreck it up, unless you are rich😃 I will definitely try this. I am in a beginner to intermediate level and I used A3 sized paper and acrylic colors. Funny but I used it.

I just have few constructive criticism (not complaining, just trying to be helpful being a photographer and videographer): use non noisy back ground. Plain grey color back ground. Grey is very neutral which makes other color pop. If possible, keep the camera right above the work space to eliminate reflections and shadows. Add additional lighting at 30 degree angle with wax paper in front of it to diffuse it. If possible, try to do it in a mosquito net to keep flies out of videos. Good luck! 👍🍀

Hi! I think you can apply a sealant or gesso to seal the fabric and make it waterproof.

If you r using the thiner one which is like net or you can see the other side for its veryyy tiny squares then it won't work. But if you use the other type of bukram called Fujin or something like that which usually been placed on fabrics using heat or iron then it may work. Thankk you.

Yes you can use also hard cardboard for this but if you're beginner then you use cardboard as a practice purpose 😊👍🤗

Main material is the- Buckram (a stiff cloth) which is easily available at Sewing Tailor or shops that sell cloth material for sewing purpose.. After getting that simply cut and paste it on a rough & tough cardboard just like a canvas board. 👍

Mam, i really appreciate your idea,but its not very useful,this idea can be used by the beginner because they don't make paintings for others and don't even hang them for so long time,so its gud for them. But for the rest of the artist,this idea will never work,as a paper cardboard don't have a long life and it will get ruined and it will effect the painting also. I liked your painting,it was gud😊😊
