They would make it so much faster and easier!! I don’t have a router table yet so the bits might be worthless until I get one 😂. Hopefully as the channel grows and so do I, I’ll be able to publish a better “how to” video using the bits 😊

Panel looks a bit tight and you don't fit the rails into the panel. You fit the panel into the rails...if you can't slide the plywood in the grove, your grove is to tight. Make rails and styles to fit the door opening and then cut the insert panel to fit. Groove on rails and styles can be the same depth and width. Why complicate things like you did??? Cut the styles to length right the first time. Again, the plywood panel is to tight... Cut both styles at the same time. I know that plywood doesn't expand and contract like solid wood will but you should never use that much glue in the slot of the second style. And before you send me a reaction to this, I have been doing this same thing for over 60 years and have had no problems making a living and have had no call backs for doors that came apart or didn't fit after several years.

Thanks for the input David! I really do appreciate it. I just started woodworking this year as a hobby and have loved it so far! The main reason I started this Chanel a month ago was to hopefully be able to look back at where I started and see the improvement over time. And thats what I love about posting on KZread, there are a lot of people out there with amazing skills that I can learn from! The way you typed this out was a great way to explain a better way to get the job done and I’m excited to keep growing and learning. Thanks for the tips and advice!

@@DrewLarsenDesigns Normally you don't put any glue on the panel as it needs to float. I usually put a dab i the top and bottom rail to keep the panel in place. The wood will expand most from side to side. You made the door less strong when you cut off some of the tongue and didn't have any on the bottom. Also, tape is not enough to hold the parts. You needed to clamp the doors.

That makes sense. If you have any other tips in the future I’d be happy to hear them. Thanks again 😊

If the door is going to be painted I use poplar or maple. If it’s going to be in a high traffic area (like a kitchen) I lean towards maple because it is a harder wood, and is harder to dent.
