Many of u are asking what size pot i used; its a 20 QT/18.9L; purchased at Bed Bath and Beyond. Keep in mind that the less water u use the more flavorful the broth is. I had to use lots of water bcuz of the pot size. U can add seasonings to water but i didn't bcuz i poured the Smackalicious Sauce on the seafood in the end. I love u guys sooo much. Hey Blove girl I had to pause this video and say thank you. I'm sitting here with my husband excited about this video. I woke him up yelling I was so excited you had posted it. Lol (he works graveyard so he is sleep this time of day) I have this huge crab boil I'm planning. My family think I'm crazy as hell because I love to watch videos of y'all eating especially the crab and lobster boils. Usually we will go to the casino out here and eat up their crab. But they don't season how we do. And then you gave us the sauce recipe so I told them I was going to make some sauce and bring it. They threatened to leave me home because it was just "ghetto" to pull sauce out my purse lol. So to save them the embarassment I will be cooking our boil at home. Thank you and your family for the joy you bring to me and my family. They tease me but they come and watch right with me. And it will be me and my sons cooking the crab boil. So just know you all are bringing families together ❤

I was wondering why she pan seared the shrimp and scallops? The purpose of it being a crab boil was to cook everything in one pot. That's how I was taught.

Janice Abbitt I do a lot of my recipes this way. The browning before boiling adds a layer of crisp and color prior to boiling. I believe it makes a difference.
