    NO. He cut it off too soon. When the water the level in the R bottle gets up to the cross-over tube the water will continue to flow in both bottles in perpetuity.

    While the pressure is higher from the header tank, the water will continue to flow out of bottle 1. As soon as the pressure is equalised, in this case bottle one would be empty, it will stop.

    It is only flowing because the air pressure and displacement there of by the mass and weight of the water. The water will only flow until the bottle in the left is devoid of water. It would still require a source to run indefinitely..

    It will stop once the water in the cup runs out and the vacuum breaks. The weight of the water in the cup is what powers it.

    That is the most elaborate and over engineered way I've ever seen to move water from one bottle to the next. When the bottle on the left empties it stops. Or when the the bottle on the right fills.
