Here's How To Make An Authentic Suya Spice/ Suya Pepper (Yaji)
Ingredients
kulikuli - 350 grams
Dried chili - 20 grams (adjust to taste)
Ginger - 10 grams
Garlic - 5 grams
Kaajiji - 3 pcs
Kimba (uda) - 4 pcs
Gyada miya (Ehuru) - 5 pcs
Masoro (black pepper) - 5 grams
kanafari (cloves) - 5 grams
Stock cubes - 2
Salt - 1 teaspoon

    Welldone! But uziza is Aligator pepper not black peppercorn. Uziza has a root stem coming out of the bottom and a bit smaller than black peppercorn. ❤Cheers.

    Uziza seeds and black pepper are very different species though they belong to the same 'piper' family. Thanks for the detailed video.

    Sure you can. Although that will be a little deviation from the original recipe, but I believe a little will work well in it. Turmeric has great benefits too, so yes.

    Nice one. However, black pepper is totally different from mkpuru uziza or uziza seed. They are not the same and taste differently too. Knowing the smell of uziza will help you differenciate both. Thanks so much for the update will definitely give it a try

    I think you can. Although it will take away from the taste and flavour. But if you are allergic to peanuts, I think it’s okay and better to do without it. Just add the spices, pepper and stock, it should be okay
