Because OH is symbol of hydroxide and NO3 is symbol of nitrogen oxide I guess ( I am not sure about nitrogen oxide search on google )but I am sure about OH so it is a symbol so will will come together and if it is like (OH)3 then it means that there are three atoms of hydroxide ions
