ERROR: As a few comments have pointed out House Yarwyck and Goode are both canonical houses. But House Bean and Freeborn are not. They are people in the lore but neither are houses formally with Rodrik Freeborn being a raider and Dick Bean being a man-at-arms. Still, this is why you proofread everyone.

im pretty sure house Goode is canon too 😅I think Gregor Goode was a knight of the kingsguard wayyyy back during Aegon's Conquest. Im pretty sure theyre only mentioned like once in fire and blood so its a very minor house. also house bean is only semi canon, Dick Bean was just a common man at arms who stood with Maegor Targaryen during his trial of seven and died, I think the house is just a reference to him and it doesnt actually exist.

I knew house Goode and house Yarwyck were canon but I forgot about Dick Bean and house Bean. I think there was a Yarwyck in the Night’s Watch and I remembered Ser Gregor Goode was a Kingsguard member.

​@@AFPLJohnny also Gregor's brother Griffith is a knight of the kingsguard, there's also a knight who served Rhaenyra called Ser Glendon Goode but technically he isn't queensguard since Rhaenyra isn't a queen

'Oxcross' is not a canonical house, yes, but you can see that Oxcross is the name of the county, but the house itself is called Yarwick. Yarwick is a canonical house, one of the Night's Watch characters is from this house and their CoA is described in the books (as this banner is seen among other Westerlands banners in Feast for Crows). Looking at the de jure kingdom map mode I think CK3 needs a high king tier beneath empire but above kingdom. A paramountcy would be a high kingdom.

Been loving the content recently! Have you considered doing a custom house series? You could roleplay based on your characters personality kind of like your Dayne series. Or you could decide your house’s purpose in the world similar to how the Forresters work with ironwood trees or how the Fossoways grow apples. The possibilities for roleplay are endless.

My custom house is my last name (original I know) House Profitt "Worth the Cost" Sigil is a Red Anchor under 3 gold coins on a field of blue. I usually take a coastal county and raid early game.

If anyone is interested, i quite enjoy when roleplaying as customer characters after joining a house u can through using command edit someone to be your parent; say u want to play as a baby Robb Stark during Roberts Rebellion, u can then edit Catelyn to be your mother which automatically establishes the correct relationships with the remaining family members

Great tip. I’ve used this before but totally forgot about it.

There are reddit posts that tell you which house in which county are non-canon or semi-canon. My favourite place to start a custom house is the Reach in Dustonbury (14 dev county).

Dustonbury is cool because of the Lore behind it and coupled with the fact in ASOIAF we don’t know who actually owns it after the Peakes were stripped of it after the First Blackfyre Rebellion

you should make a whole video of useless or gag things to complete in AGOT. For instance: uniting the wildlings by a custom character Shawn of House Mendes, and naming the wildling kingdom Canada.

Me and a Friend did a custom house run, I started in Harroway with two counties and they started in teh blackwater rush. my house was called House Draethon, who were landed knights who are said to trace their ancestry to the iron islands. the members of this family had dark red hair and light blue eyes. During the stormborn invasion event they sided with Daenerys against Robert (Who was still alive) , their overlord who were the whents had their power stripped after the war and harranhal was granted to the daethons. it was a pretty interesting game where i spent the rest of it rebuilding Harranhal lol.

Pretty sure House Goode does exist in the Lore. I believe two of Aegon I’s original Kingsguard were Goodes

Dev here! I'd like to clear up some things (apart from the ones already mentioned in the comments): -House Silverfield, while not entirely confirmed to be its own House, isn't confirmed to NOT be a House neither. It's the arms of a Manderly household member. We decided to make him part of a Manderly cadet for complexity and diversity sake. -House Stillman is canonical, the only known member from it being Russell Stillman, a former squire of Alyn Velaryon. Other than that, great video! We specifically added a multitude of non-canon Houses for this exact reason, so that people could replace them should they not want to topple a canon House with their own.

Afaik there’s just the one Stillman mentioned in Fire and Blood. I tend to not view these as houses but more named knights. Unless I’m mistaken and there’s others - which is obviously possible
