Thank you! I finally had the time to finish this pattern. I feel like my skiving skills leveled up. I usually only skive when the leather is 1.5mm or thicker. Skiving the 0.8mm leather was really scary, and my heart almost stopped a few times. I ended up sharpening my skiving knife every other cut. I really enjoyed this build and will make another one without the bill pocket.

2 pikaさん、ありがとうございます！ええ、昼間noteのコメント見て「あれ？」って思いました😁 スライド式は引っ掛かりが気になっちゃいますよね。なので改良版ではマチ下部を切り欠いてみましたよ。マチ自体も大きくしたので今のところ引っ掛かりなく使えています(^^)v

Thanks for a great video and pattern! This puts my basic skills to a serious test, but I am decided to persevere. Started by making a few draft models (without the bill compartment for now) with cardboard and a stapler. Really helped me understand your thought process a little better. Hiding the female head in the hollow between the two gussets is a very nice touch. Even if I don't succeed, I'm already grateful for this precious tip. Now I am ready to invest some leather. Wish me luck with the skiving :)

i am jealous of that cardboard you use for your pattern templates. Either your knife is beyond sharp or the cardboard cuts extremely well. Is it just a thick cardstock or is it a specific type of cardboard for crafts?

This is a common construction paper. It is familiar in Japan and is also used in school education. The thickness is about 0.5 mm. This is beautiful work, as always. What really caught my attention though was the case you took one of your tools from in the video. It was lovely leatherwork, and looks so useful for organizing and storing tools. Is this a video you've done previously? I couldn't find it if so. My own tools live in a cardboard box right now. I'd love a video showing how to make a case for storing them.

Thank you for your comment. That toolbox is a prototype of what I made in the last video. The video introduces a simplified version without handles and dividers. Since there are quite a lot of requests, I'm thinking of improving the one with a handle and publishing the pattern.

keiさん、ありがとうございます！いやいや家宝だなんて、恐れ多い…😓 本作は後半、立体になると本裁断できないし、狭くて磨きにくいしで結構コバを仕上げるのが大変かもしれません。私も試作をしながら「ちょっとくらいズレていても、まぁ何とかなるだろう」が通用しないゾ…と痛感しました。 その分、コバ磨き前の裁断や貼り合わせを見直すキッカケにしてもらえたらいいなぁと密かに思っています😊

カードが親指で取り出しやすそうなポケットの形状ですね♪片手に収まる感じが持ち歩きやすそうです😊 いろんな動画を見てて「なんでハンマーを持ち替えるんだろうな～」と不思議だったんですが、（私の場合）左利きのメリット？だったんですね🤔革包丁での本裁断は、まだ怖くてできません(-_-;) 真っすぐ裁断して、真っすぐ縫う。難しいです・・・

cocomichiさん、ありがとうございます！私は右脳があまり発達していないのか、左手が絶望的に不器用で、左手で目打ちをセットすると結構ズレちゃったりするんですよね～💦 本裁断は…怖いです😓定規を当てられればいいのですが、それができない場面も時折あるので練習の意味も込めて毎回果敢に挑戦しています👊

I use a free 2D-CAD software named "JW-CAD". Unfortunately, the software is only available in Japanese. (T_T)
