This would work without batteries. If you look at the profile of the keys, you'll notice all the cuts are around the same level. If the key had cuts at varying levels(high/low), this pick would not work. It barely vibrates once it is placed in the keyway.

+Captain Nuts (CaptainLogoNuts) If you managed to convince your mom to bring you to the local judge, the judge would not have the authority to track down the user, the police wont track JohnEyes down because they can only do local searches on limited things. Reporting wont do a thing to help solve a case. You are really stupid to not know that.

I like your vids and I've even subscribed and have made a few of my own like the Cotton candy machine, light bulb terrarium, etc. My one peeve is that you always put "Try 01" as if you're going to do a few tries on other objects or in other places but you don't, Way to keep people wanting, lol. Like this lock pick, your 2nd try should've been on a master lock and your 3rd should've been on a door lock, etc. All in all, you make some goods D.I.Y. Vids and I enjoy them a lot. Keep up the great work!!! Spanish: me encanta tus vídeos.

Nice and simple homemade gadget you made, although I would probably add a switch/button to it so the thing doesn't keep on turning and waste the energy (although what you did does do the trick, it's a bit of a pain, plus I'm too lazy to put in and take out the battery to turn on the gadget), still, nice gadget.

Test Failed! He should have at least three different locks to try this electric pick. The locks should be still be sealed it its package. He should then open the package, remove the lock and then test the pick. Some of the cheaper locks, you can open them up with just a couple of paperclips. One for tension bar and the other to rack over the pins. The cheap lock will open in seconds. Interesting project and easy enough to try.

99% of burglars will just kick your door open by breaking through the door jam or smash a window with a rock. Even the most unpickable high security lock won't stop that. Locks are there to make you feel safer... they provide almost no protection.
