Did this today with the 15inch diameter buoy & wow this works. I didn’t have to make any holes though I just pulled the whole tab out and plugged my hose adapter in and filled it. I did 2 20 min workouts with it and I was hitting it hard so far it’s amazing better than expected. Way better than spending hundreds for the exact same thing especially with everyone boosting the prices right now

Which 15" buoy did you buy for yours? (This is the size I would like to get, and the filling tab sounds easier on yours) Thanks!

Thanks for explaining the attachment you found! You could try more air instead of water to make it softer and use a high quality 16 oz boxing gloves (e.g. Twins Special, Windy, Fairtex). What would I use to attach it to an outdoor pull-up bar, strong plank, or tree branch for outdoor workouts for clients? Adjustable straps would allow us to change the height for different people and uses. Think of the adjustable straps on a double-end bag.

I used the same thing as a punching bag. I would really suggest, especially for children. You can use a 1/4 tone ratcheted come-a-long. They are not the cheapest. But worth it. Plus both of the hooks on the come-a- long swivel. So the chain will not spin and bind. I agree it is harder, but in softens the impact on your hands joints by a million. Remember to get a shackle for the bouy to hang on the come-a- long. I bought all products at AIH here in Alaska. But I bet they have those products in you towns hardware store

Come-a-long is chain with two hooks at each end, with a ratchet mechanism. It's used to pull objects closer together. It's used alot by welders/Ironworkers. Or it's used to lower/raise an object into place slowly.

Shafiul Chowdhury I just left the link in the last comment. Just a reminder, I took a Phillips head screw driver and poked a hole inside of where you fill it up. They come with a valve that won’t allow air to escape and that also blocks water from going in. You need to poke through that valve, BUT BE CAREFUL NOT TO POKE THE BAG ITSELF. Phil Stolaronek It was distorted a little bit, but then I used a plastic pipe to cover the chain, everything is fine now. By the way, the bag to me is super heavy. I filled it in half, then put it to the chain, then used water bottle to fill it. You are so strong to carry it in full. It is time to get in shape. 💪

Thanks for the tip. Aqua bags are used by boxers as an alternative to the maize bag which are purposefully extra heavy and hard so it can be used to train punching strength. Aqua bags will be more gentle on wrists compared to the maize bag but of course it will be hard because it's filled with water which is a lot heavier than the normal filling for heavy bags which can be a mix of foam, wadding, sand, rice or maize. And this is the point. If you want something soft & light to hit with bare hands get a double end bag or better still make one out of a soccer ball and elastic cord.

@@carterstoysandrandomthings6466 The Bible teaches that God is holy, just, merciful, gracious, loving, and sole creator(Genesis 1:1, Psalm 24:1). The Bible also teaches that man is born with a dreadful sin nature(Psalm 51:5, Ephesians 2:3) and transgressed God's law(Romans 3:23). Since God is the righteous judge, He will punish sinners according to His eternal standard. According to God's word, that punishment is an eternal, physical, and conscious torment(Daniel 12:2,Matthew 25:41, Matthew 3:12, Revelations 14:10-11, Revelations 20:10) in Hell-separated forever from the goodness of God. The good news is that God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ who is equally eternal(John 1:1) and equal in rank and importance(John 5:18, John 10:30) to the Father and the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin to be the means for escape from the domain of darkness and wrath of God for those who repent and believe the gospel. Jesus lived a sinless life and voluntarily and lovingly died on the cross by taking upon Himself our sin and the wrath of God that His elect deserve. Jesus was buried and resurrected(1 Corinthians 15:1-5) on the third day from the grave- demonstrating His power over sin and death and is seated at the right hand of the Father (Ephesians 1:20-23). Your good works or deeds of the Law are not sufficient. Jesus who is fully God and fully man is the complete and perfect sacrifice. It is not grace plus merit, faith plus works, or even Christ plus unrighteous man that will justify the sinner. As a vile wretch, you can be be justified(declared right before God) by only free grace alone, through faith alone and in Christ alone(Romans 3:28, Ephesians 2:8-9). Will you repent(a change of mind that results in the abandonment of sin and turning to the Lord Jesus Christ) and trust in this unchanging Gospel(Mark 1:15) or will you remain an enemy of God?

@@shamimulhoque903 DON’T poke the hole in the bag, BUT.. do poke the hole in the area where you can insert air. The reason I poked the hole was because there is something that prevents air from escaping so that piece makes it harder to fill it with water. I poked it with an Awl. If you’re not familiar it’s a tool that looks like a screw driver but instead of a Phillips or flat head, it has a sharp end. If you don’t have one you can probably just use a Philip’s screwdriver to poke out that piece. If you’re nervous about it you could try filling it without poking the hole but it didn’t work great for me without the hole. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

I’ve actually moved the bag to my garage and have raised it closer to my head level so I definitely don’t drop my guard as much when it’s in a raised position. HOWEVER, even if it’s lower I know I should keep my guard up and bend my knees to get lower 👍👍

It probably feels harder because you are using mma gloves on a small compact bag lol. I see a lot of guys using these gloves when they are doing bag work...its silly...you are going to wreck your hands and by the time you are 60 you probably wont be able to make a fist. If you are 180+lbs you should be using 16oz gloves for bag work. Pad work is a bit different...you can use a smaller glove for pad work but I still wouldnt recommend MMA gloves unless you are doing an MMA fight and doing small glove training. Most professionals use 14/16oz for their training. Also, you mention you only do it for exercise and conditioning...a pair of 16oz gloves will give you more of a workout than these 4oz mma hand breakers lol. God speed!
