    I've been building simple DIY rc airplanes for the past year after buying expensive airframes from major brands for big money. My most common design is a simple wing and tail attached to a carbon arrow from Walmart, without electronics $6.00 total and E-flight just came out with the "slow stick" that is a carbon copy of my design for $200. I have to say I enjoy flying my budget builds way more then an over priced $400 foam warbird any day. Once you understand the basic principles of airfoil design the sky is the limit...... Pun intended.....kind of lol. Warm up the glue gun grab a few sheets of foam board from the dollar store and cut, sand and glue until you have something that looks like an airplane and send it 👍 if it doesn't fly do a little more research and try it again. I was at the park maybe 7 times until one of mine finally flew and that is a great feeling.

    Beautiful airplane, congratulations for your great channel, tutorials and airplane designs. This aircraft seems to fly amazingly, long flight time and manoeuvrability so I decided to start my foam airplanes building experience with this. Here in Chile there is no depron or any type of naked foam for the wing, only carboard with foam core so I think that might be a little heavy at last, I will report the result. I'm about to start the rear gear but there's some data missing, can you please share some of them, especially the rear landing gear geometry and measures?

    I will use a long spiral piece to connect two separate wings, but the question is: How will I build the wing elevation angle when I have two wings connected by a long spiral piece? What are the alternatives to using such an angle that gives stable flight? For your information, I am a beginner in flying, but there is a friend of mine who made a plane with two separate wings and connected them with a spiral piece, but I did not. Use this angle and use a straight wing without making a wing that goes up a little??

  • @Kendin-Yap

    @Kendin-Yap

    Жыл бұрын

    It wouldn't be good to consider the center of gravity for back wheel models. Because the nose of the plane will move downwards during landing and take off and the propeller will hit the ground. I usually place under the leading edge of wing. That is further from the center of gravity.

    He used Duct tape on the wings where the rubber bands go but i have a better suggestion as they will still bite into the foamboard to a degree. Pre shape and glue milk jug plastic to the leading and trailing edges of the wing where the rubber bands go, it will completely stop them cutting into the wing! If you belly land foamboard planes then i also recommend the same milk jug plastic for the part of the planes belly that contacts on landing, it will make the plane last and you can land on dirt and gravel tracks with it without damage to the fuse, not just on grass! Milk jug plastic is made of HDPE which does not like being glued, use a very sharp blade and score a diamond pattern into the side being glued and use the blade at an angle so it slices under the surface and not straight down so there is something for the glue to mechanically bond too, it will hold very well like that.

    Sir, I do not understand what is the measurement of the place where you placed the long, light-thick wooden pieces, and I also do not understand what is the size of the piece to install the wing before installing it in the first place, when I placed an airfoil and the airfoil stopped and I glued them together.

    Hi, watching the video, about 10 seconds in you start making wing reinforcers to ensure the correct airfoil. Both are made from 5mm foamboard I believe, one is two layers thick, the other four. Is the width of these reinforcers critical? , if so what should they be please? They are obviously 540mm long for each wing half. Good work.

    8x6 propeller can be used for 1000KV motor. It's not the ideal propeller, but it works. For 9x6 or 10x4.5 propeller the fuselage needs to be upgraded. In this case, larger diameter wheels can be used. Or the landing gear should be raised.

    For Kraft Foamboard and insulation foam, it makes sense to search local dealers in your country of residence. Since it is a large-volume product, it is expensive to procure it from international vendors by cargo. Kraft foamboard; It is a foam material whose outer surfaces are covered with kraft paper. Plate dimensions: 50x70cm. Or it could be larger. It is a light material. Insulation foam, on the other hand, is a fully condensed foam material. Plate dimensions are larger than foamboard. Insulation foam is usually sold in construction-building materials markets. Foamboard is sold in shops that sell architectural models or hobby-stationery.

    Önceki trainerdan bir kaç farkı var. Bu modelin gövdeye oranla kanadı çok daha uzun ve dolayısıyla kanat alanı çok daha fazla. Yatay stabilize (elevatör) çok daha büyük. Ve kanat köpükten yapıldığı için boyutlarına oranla çok daha hafif. Tüm bunlar bir araya gelince hem daha kararlı bir uçuş hem de daha uzun uçuş süresi sağlıyor.

    Hello, is it possible to create a fixed, straight wing without a slight rise in the wing upwards, and what are the reasons for doing so?

  • @Kendin-Yap

    Wing angle is necessary for stable flight. If there is no angle, the control will be aggressive. The angled wing structure is important, especially for those who are not very experienced.

    @@Kendin-Yap I will use a long spiral piece to connect two separate wings, but the question is: How will I build the wing elevation angle when I have two wings connected by a long spiral piece? What are the alternatives to using such an angle that gives stable flight? For your information, I am a beginner in flying, but there is a friend of mine who made a plane with two separate wings and connected them with a spiral piece, but I did not. Use this angle and use a straight wing without making a wing that goes up a little??

    Merhabalar hocam neden batarya kapasitesine max 2700 mah dediniz?

  • @Kendin-Yap

    @Kendin-Yap

    5 ай бұрын

    Kapasite arttıkça pilin ağırlığı da artar. Belli bir ağırlıktan sonra model kararlı uçuş özelliğin kaybetmeye başlar. Bu yüzden bir sınır olmalı. Her model uçak için aerodinamik yapısına ve boyutlarına göre bir ağırlık sınırı vardır.

    There is an attachment for the dihedral angle at the junction of the right and left wings. Angle cannot be applied for one-piece wing. This reduces stable flight capability.

    Uçmasına engel değil ama iki kanat arasında kaldırma kuvveti farkı oluşacaktır. Kalın olan daha fazla kaldırma kuvveti oluşturacağı için diğer tarafa yatma eğilimi oluşacak. Ters yönde aileron ile dengelenebilir. İdeal olan bire bir aynı olmasıdır.

    You can use 40A ESC. No lower than the recommended current capacity should be used. But you can use higher. The maximum current drawn by the motor does not change.
