I’m not sure there is I think you do a great job and the finished one of your own looked great. I don’t find it easy to put the pages together so 🎉his has been great for me. BTW - I’m loving the library cards and what I’ve done with them - super fun to sit down and play with one and finish something when time is limited 😊

Such an array of interesting papers to make the pages. I’m finding myself browsing the second hand shops, and doing lots of rummaging! 😂. Loving it, and really enjoying watching what you do and how you do it. For a newbie though, is there a preferred number of pages to have in each signature? I’m thinking we sew through the spine next, and don’t want to make them too thick. 🤔 Thanks so much.

Thanks. It’s so much fun looking for papers to repurpose isn’t it. Number of pages in a signature? The million dollar question. I still question whether to have less signatures with more pages in each or more signatures with less pages in each. Experimenting and trial and error is the way to go. That way you can see which you prefer. A lot of people (me included) make journal which only have 1 signature. I usually end up with 17 to 20 pieces of folded paper in one of those. But if the journal has more signatures I put less pieces of paper in each. I hope that makes sense. I’ll try remember to talk about this in a video. ☺️. Thanks for watching. 🩷

Such a nice array of papers! Is there a reason why you make 11 thin signatures rather than thicker and fewer ones? Does it lay flatter?

Thank you. Because these journals are for writing in I wanted to put in lots of signatures and have them close together without that big old gap in between. I really don’t know if more pages less signatures or less pages more signatures less pages is best. I just like to change it up and do different things 😀🩷
