The fandom name I never knew I wanted. And great cross over with Deathling. Who doesn't want to be a Muttering Deathling.

That is way cooler than anything I’ve seen for pumpkin carving. The first thought I had was using an led tea light in the jar to light it up.

I thought the same thing. You would need to put rocks or something in the little jar to keep it from floating.

This would make the ideal Turkey Day decoration, since I totally missed seeing this until 23Nov. If only we had guests coming over. They would utterly not expect a wet specimen centerpiece or maybe dual specimen minis on candlesticks or some such. Granted, any who know me well enough to be invited into my home "ought" to expect some....hmmm...well....non-traditional elements 😀 You are awesome!! Thank you for this and all you do. LZ

I had to pick a museum to do an intensive semester-long analysis project on for one of my museum studies classes at Chico State, and videos like this is why I've never regretted choosing the Mütter. The work you guys do is so innovative, I am sure you are inspiring museums everywhere.

@@coyoteartist he had to approve of our choice first and he was super interested, probably because it's not the same 10 museums everyone always does.

I'm not sure how you keep a candle lit in there, but some small glow sticks in the jar would work fine.

Some suggestions, use two jars, one inside the other and only put liquid in the outside jar. It gives the same effect but keeps your pumpkin from becoming mold soup. It is also easier to light it this way.

the tiny bit of air in the jar works against you. I would have used a rock. And a few holes in the bottom of the pumpking. SO CUTE THOUGH

Salt and citric acid. Or Formalin if you have it, that pumpkin won’t decay for 30 years.

Everclear (95% ethanol) is legal where I live; that would inhibit bacteria and mold. Isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) would probably work, or denatured ethanol. All of these are a flammable, though. I kinda wanna borrow some formalin from work... Don't want it in my house though.

Normally I love your videos, but for some reason I expected an instructional video from the renowned Mutter Museum to give us something a bit less obvious than a small pumpkin in a jar of colored water that might last two days.
