and what is the importance of the socks .. it probably pervents larger particles from entering the dryer.. but what about smaller particles.. they can go through the sock pores and burn the dryer right?
What is about the Heating element? Or else you have convert it to dc operated...?

will it burn my hairdryer? seen many comments on how they burnt theirs
