I don't know If it's commercially available in Oz, but here in the uk there's a product called the "hedgehog" it's designed to stop leaves etc blocking roof gutters and downpipes. Basically it's a very long bottle brush 😅 It's sold in 10 meter lengths (maybe it's 5 🤔) Anyway It isn't expensive and is Black in colour, I've found it ideal for mass producing trees very fast! (Especially pines and conifers). I think it's available in 100 and 150 millimeter diameters. (Same method you use here minus the wire and string and the twisting!) Some of your viewers might find this tip helpful so I just thought I'd share 👍

What a great looking tree. Your "how to" was so well explained and demonstrated I will definitely now start making my own trees rather than using commercial products. I model in n gauge so the trees are much shorter therefore needing less time to construct. I imagine, and I will, you make a batch at a time and not one by one. Thank you for this and I remember your home made flocking video which I will now revisit to ensure I have sufficient colours. Regards from Poland.

G`day Denise, Glad you enjoyed the video. The method is a compilation of ideas that I have picked up over the years with some of my own ideas thrown in. My trees basically start out as a hairy bottle brush and with a bit of styling and a bit of luck they turn into trees. Factory made trees this size are quite expensive, so there is a considerable cost saving made by rolling your own. You should also check my method for bushes as well kzread.info/dash/bejne/imxmpM-BkZndp5c.html Cheers Gormo
