I used a 3 strand core. I wrapped the working end around the closest two core strands. It came out like a thicker fishtail.Also, the colors are separated like the bracelet above.

4.5 blue 4.5 red not near enough left to finish after the 4 strand core! Bummer.

I ended the bracelet by taking the working strands through the outer part of the cow's hitch.
