Okay, I've watched about four tutorials on how to do this so far, and they all play basically the same, but when I get to the point of rotating the empty, my single step does not turn into a circle. Nothing happens at all, no matter how many times I start over. Is there some vital step that's being skipped over?

@@FunwithBlender I think he means at 1:17 . I also had trouble at this point however from the way he describes it, its a slightly different problem. For me, rather than not do anything, the faces get smaller and smaller rather than keeping the same size.

@@hmshood319 make sure to CTRL-A and apply all transforms on the circle after you deleted all but 1 face

make sure constant offset is all 0 in the X AND Y AND Z

Forget about "Bridge edge loop"? That more powerfull and simple way to bridge the edge's.. Isn't?

You need to make sure you changed from object mode to edit mode by pressing tab, then you have all the points of the circle selected, then you can press e to extrude

@@FunwithBlender Also, be sure you are in vertex mode, face mode doesn't work, which makes sense since there aren't any faces yet.
