How to Make a SIMPLE Christmas Angel Macrame Ornament

In this video, I'm going to show you how to make the most beautiful DIY macrame angel ornament with an easy step by step tutorial. If you’re new to macrame, This project is perfect for beginners who want to learn a new skill, and it's so easy that even kids can do it!
Materials used:
1) 3mm single strand cord
2) 1 x large hole beads
3) 1 x wooden ring
3) 1.5 mm string

03:21 - Step #1 : Attach a 30 cm strand of cord onto the ring with a Lark's Head knot. Then thread the bead through and tie an Overhand knot.
04:13 - Step #2 : Separate out 8 strands of 30 cm cords into 2 groups of 4 cords each and Combe through the fringe of both groups.
05:01 - Step #3 : Place one group onto the right-side and one group onto the left-side of the ring and secure with a Gathering knot using a 30 cm string.
07:18 - Step #4 : Separate the fringe in half and weave the other half through the other side of the ring.
07:42 - Step #5 : Attach 4 x 45 cm cords onto the right-side and another
4 cords onto the left-side of the ring with Reverse Lark's Head knots.
08:58 - Step #6 : On the right-side, take the far left (bottom) cord as the anchor cord and make a full row of Double Half Hitch ("DHH") knots to the right.
09:44 - Step #7 : Use the third cord from the left as the anchor cord and make a full row of DHH knots to the right.
10:47 - Step #8 : Repeat the same pattern on the left-side.
12:52 - Step #9 : Comb through, stiffen and shape the fringe.

    Is the angel head supposed to be loose or can we glue?

    Is the larger angel the same chord lengths and number of chords as the smaller angel?

    I'd add slightly more cord for the larger one - around 10 cm per strand should be sufficient. I used an extra strand of cord on both sides for the larger one. It really depends how big of a ring you are using

    Yes, it can. But ti will be a lot more changing to make, depending on the size.
