Same here! I love a good bar soap but sometimes a shower gel can be so fun!
Thanks u for that liquid soap recipe i am acostom ozs instead of grams so i have a little problem but d recipe is. great
I am a patron of yours - I highly recommend it - but some of the ingredients, especially additives such as Crothix, are unobtainable here in NZ. I would have to go back to a good old salt solution or try to find an alternative. Getting things from Brambleberry is prohibitive- it costs more in shipping than the order! This makes this just too expensive. Great videos. Thank you.🌸😊🌸
Hi, great video! If you add too much thickener, can you adjust with more water or will that mess up the formulation?
Awesome job. I appreciate you sharing. I will try and get smart enough to join you on Patreon 😳
I appreciate all of the different content you have been putting out. Btw, my lotion came in. It feels super nice but it’s really thick so I have to take the lid off and try to get it out that way. Do you think it would be better in a jar type? I love the thickness of it. I wouldn’t change the formula at all!

Such a pleasant and informative video, thank you.

I cannot, for the life of me, get the pH right. I gave up (for now anyway, will try again eventually I'm sure). This must have taken you a ton of trial and error to figure it out. I'm very impressed. :)
Hey I'm creating a shower gel as well Can you please recommend a few emulsifiers to make a clear shower gel?
I love all your videos!! For the fragrance oil can I use pumpkin from brambleberry?
@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany

Thank you! I am not sure if that fragrance oil will work with this recipe. You will need to test it out.
Fantastic video, Cory! Can something else be used in place of the Crothix? And how did the other test batch turn out w/o the Liquid Silk?
@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jini, you can probably try Gluclose D to thicken this, however, salt won't work for this particular recipe. The one without liquid silk turned out great!
Great tutorial Cory thank you! Question, after you add the citric acid, how much have you been able to decrease the pH without compromising the integrity of the soap? Have you been able to get it all the way down to skin pH of 5-ish or just to neutral? Thanks again for sharing all your hard work and creativity with us!! 🤩
@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Courtney, this type of recipe should not get below a 7 ph or neutral or it can fall out of solution.
What is the measurements of the oil? Kind of need that in order to create a safe and proper soap.
This was a great video! I would love to buy one. I don’t mind that it’s not clear. I like the silk you put into it. Could you use the silk fibers in the lye solution?

thank you! Yes, it is a long process. From beginning to end probably about 5 hours. You can leave it to dilute overnight. I usually do that.
Cool video .I would like to try this what are the measurements?
Is it best to use a crock pot? Or can I use a large pan and cook it over the stove?
Yummy
When do I add essential oils? Because I tried to apply it after finishing making it, but it clumps
You have put so much hard work into your formulations. Thank you so much for sharing with us! I just do this for fun, and I'm a beginner - you are giving me so many great ideas. I had a question about this formulation. When you add "liquid soap," what exactly do you mean by that? Is it like a proprietary surfactant blend? Or a commercial handsoap? I think I need more information on that addition. Thank you!!!!

Can I use Hemp oil in the base oil mix?
@kevinpitts3548
2 жыл бұрын
I would like to know that too. I know you would need to keep it down to 10-15% of total oils. I have been reading up on this a lot here lately. At that point, you sacrifice the "clean" or the "bubblely". 🤷 But idk I'm going to try it in a small 10 or 20...maybe 50 gram batch at some point.

When using hemp oil to your recipe the pct% of Hemp oil has to be below 3% to maintain shelf life. Anything over 3% will shorten the life of the soap

Why cant you control the viscosity without using a thickener? Im really confused why not use less water when you dilute your paste.
@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany
3 жыл бұрын
Using less water for this recipe will not dilute the paste all the way resulting in a sticky mess of soap.
Awesome demonstration . Seems difficult to follow all steps accurately

I would love to have seen a true lather test where you use it as a person actually would at the sink. I do realize if you're using this for a shower gel you'll probably use the puff. But I was wondering how it would work as a hand soap like you was using it Anyways have a great day
