Lovely tutorial, think I’ll have a go. Cheers!
Like these a lot, just one comment, as a guarantee that the spindles wont turm, I know they are glued, but on the bottom plate where the torx screw are I would drill then hammer a round nail in near the screw, use a nail punch to get them below the surface, one nail in each spindle, this will prevent them from twisting as an extra precaution, no need to do the top plate and leave a nail hole showing.
As always, nicely done Ian
Hi Ian yes I like the different design from the first ones , although both sets are very classy looking . I never realised the difference a dedicated stand can make having recently made some myself . My stands combined with better speaker cables have made a significant difference in my setup . Best wishes and kind regards as always , and have a very happy Christmas and new year .🎁👍👍👍
Hi Ian. Wonderfull stands. Gr André de vries.
They look really nice. A credit to you.. Regards Antony Warrington.. Cheshire
Thanks, I am making similar ones, just shorter and thicker legs.
Thoughts on using silver maple wood? It's in the hardwood family, but considered softer than oak.
beautiful work. what did u use to remove the glue residue from the tape?
