How To Make A Router Edge Guide

In this video, I am building a router edge guide that won't break the bank. This style edge guide I made features an adjustable edge guide and can be adapted to ANY router with a removable base plate. Simply remove the base plate, mark the mounting holes, drill, and attach. I came up with a set of plans to go along with this project so anyone can make one on the cheap ---
I hope this video helps you Please help support what I do by using my links

    Saw the Wood Whisperer use painters tape as you did but he use CA glue. Put the glue on one side shot the other piece with accelerator. Worked great. Nice video Patrick, I always learn something from you. 👍🏻

    You make it look so easy. Seen the ones that Rockler Woodworking has but never been willing to spend the $70 for it. This looks much more affordable and just as functional.

    You could've used a Forstner bit to countersink the bolt heads. It would have been a LOT easier than doing ti with a router.

    How do you make sure you're cutting parallel to the edge? Seems like it'd involve measuring, adjusting, measuring, Is there any quick way to ensure both ends of the sliding part are equidistant?

  • @Patricksworkshop

    @Patricksworkshop

    6 жыл бұрын

    having the fence (the sliding part ) square to the jig is not needed all you need to do is line up the center of the bit where you want it to cut and push the fence up to the edge and tighten it down if you follow my facebook page facebook.com/Patricksworkshop/ I will post a quick video on this in a day or so showing how it works thanks for the question Andy
