How to make a Rocket Motor? | Rocket candy propellant

Ғылым және технология

We are finally up with our first video - How to make Rocket motor using KNO3 (Potassium Nitrate) and C6H12O6 (D-glucose).
These motors can have a max thrust upto 100 Newton and a lift of capacity of more than 1500 grams.
This video is mainly for educational and research purposes. In case, if you want to build your own motors, you can drop us an email on starlabsurat@gmail.com, we will help you out.
We recommend you to not to make rocket motors without any expert's supervision. One needs to take all safety precautions and work with lot of care while building the rocket motor.
In case of any query or suggestions, please write us in comment.
Let's learn, grow together and make Space for Everyone!

Nice! I have used M seal in past! They are excellent material for nozzle.. But they cost me a lot... I can only make two motor with them.. In rs 10.. So i need to switch to an alternative.. I that quest i developed my own nozzle material for my motors .. I named it( flenz) it is specially designed for sugars motors.. It worked very well for me... It just coast me 20 rupees to make 10-12 (B class) rocket motor......even i recommend flenz to the rockteer research institute.. For their rocket motors..!

great work !! I have some doubts, Is it legal for a common man in India to build a model rocket? If it isn't, what are the permits needed for it and how to get it? if someone knows about it please answer.

hello, i like flying model rockets and any rocket that goes above 2000 feet may need a permit, i think g sized motors are the maximum, but i recommend you stick to e or d size to avoid any skirmishes with the cops

the best option is to notify the district administration and stay in contact with them. if you think it may be a hazard to planes or other aircraft you should inform the airport's authority and issue a NOTAM.

You may find KNO3 under a different name, like SALTPETER. Used in pickling/brining and meat preservation. You can get it at grocery stores, but I'm sure it depends on country. Just order some online.

Fair enough, but I just read the title of the video and knew instantly that practices like this are dangerous to an equal, if not greater degree than working on actual, official propulsion hardware, even when compared to accidents with liquid fluorine, borohydride fuels, and so on. Especially when there's no safety manual at all. The video and your reddit post got rightfully reported for that. Again, it's got nothing to do with TVC other than being self-described as such, which is both incorrect and doesn't count. TL:DR - Don't do stupid sh*t like the people in this video. You can die, or worse.

We can understand your concern. We have already mentioned in description to not build motors without experience. We do not encourage anyone to build them by themselves, this video information-based and for sharing knowledge. Innovators have to take the risk but with all safety in order to innovate.
