How to Make a Repeat Pattern by Hand / Create a Pattern Tile / Seamless Pattern / Making Repeats
I want to share with you my favorite method of making repeats using traditional media. All you need for this method is paper and any tool for drawing. You don't need to cut anything!
My art supplies:

Please make a video on the next steps till the fabric is printed! So educational and enjoyable to watch. Loved your class. Thank u.
I love the sound of markers drawing, reminds me of my favorite television show as a child, Mr. Dressup ❤️
This is absolutely BRILLIANT! What a clever idea - and probably a traditional way of creating patterns that I missed. Thank you for that! More vids please!

Hi Joanna! Thank you very much for your feedback! ❤️ I hope you will enjoy using this folding method. It's really easy to use ☺️🙌💕
Thank you so much for teaching this method. So helpful and easy. And yes can you also please make a video how to do the cutting method? I think you should teach at Skillshare. I have been learning from a teacher there and I did not get her methods at all. So complicated. You explain beautifully and easy to understand.
Awesome trick! Thank you for sharing. I only knew the paper - cutting trick but find this folding technique much more appealing.

Welcome 🤗❤️ This method is for creating pattern with traditional media. It's also not too complicated to do it with Photoshop. Select an area to use as a pattern. Then choose Edit > Define Pattern. I’ll try to make a video about this too :)
wow
I just discovered you, amazed how simple you teachings are. Want really to try and fell in love with pattern design, I never did it before. Thank you so much for the inspiration💝

Thank you so much! I’m so happy to read that you are inspired to create patterns! ❤️ Good luck! 🙌✨✨✨
Do you have any videos about how to make patterns that flow over the edge of the page? Or is it only done with a computer? I don't have photoshop access...too expensive these days :(
Hi Polina, you're work is so vibrant and beautiful :) I just wondered; are your sketchbook patterns seamless/repeat or do you turn some of them into seamless patterns after scanning and editing digitally?
How do you digitalize your art using Photoshop??
Hey I have a question :Do you have any trouble with the folds in the paper showing up when you scan the artwork?
Do you have a skillshare class?
Can you share the link to your canon printer please?
Do you have certain technique thats applicable in digital pattern making?
@polinaoshu

The most convenient option for me to make a pattern digitally is “Pattern >Make” in Adobe Illustrator 🙌🌸
I have found your course on Domestica, it's in English. Are there any course in Russian? Thank you.
This will come under camouflage ??
How can I get coloured marker or pen

They’re posca pens. I ordered some from Amazon. Hope you find them easily!
I appreciate your tutorials, however even with both volume toggles all the way up, I can barely hear you. Please check your end. Meanwhile, I am anxious to learn this skill! Thanks so much!
