    Yesterday, I am in a sports fest. And I see a lot of strong players there. There's this guy that I can't beat. He's next to the guy who claim the championship. It's frustrating, really. I want to improve more. Chess is really hard. But everytime I watch you, you make it look easier. But it's still hard hahaha lol. Atleast it's when I watch you, you make me realize that chess is fun to play. Have a nice day, Alessia! ❤️

    In 1:18 instead of giving up the white bishop (strong piece) you can just go bishop (g4) then (f3) bishop to (h5) then (g4) and then you have to sac the knight by taking the pawn on g4 then (f3) captures (g4). And now you can take the opponents knight with ur queen with a check. Also ur going to get 2 free pawns

    The only time I ever gave a criticism to you was the overuse of a face you often made for thumbnails. Whether or not that contributed, you came up with this, which was brilliant! If you weren't already my favorite chess streamer before*, you clearly are now. *You already were, but thank you! And major congrats on beating a 3000+, which I'll view next.

    Watch All of her videos, the main thing is She will train your brain on how to read the board correctly and logically. It will not happen overnight but eventually you will see yourself improving. I went from about nine hundred to almost twelve hundre. And just a couple of weeks. Second of all, play a lot of computer. Games instead of person to person, learn to beat the computer, Because it will teach you a lot of theory. And you can take back moves and thenmake the Better one. Oh, yeah, and eat a lot of Mandarin yogurt.

    7:38 When you moved Rf8, would it have been better or at least good to have moved Nf8 instead, where it had flexibility to move to g6 and h5 to attack, and maybe move Rf8 after the knight moved away from f8? Why or why not?

    What is the reason that you think that Scandinavian opening is bad? I know a friend who is about 2240 in rating and he is using Scandinavian as one of the openings. Carlsen has also used this opening in some games I have seen. Scandinavian is a tactical opening and not many players know this at club level. In Sicilian, there is lots of theory. The question is : How do you play to avoid your opponents preparation and play moves that the opponent is unprepared for? Maybe you could make a video explaining how to prepare and play, so the opponent is outplayed or not prepared for?

  • @JimmyBoosterCrate

    @JimmyBoosterCrate

    The scandinavian is kinda dubious because you give the opponent space and development advantage, but it's still playable of course, and at club level what matters is how familiar you are with the position

  • @Alessia_Santeramo

    @Alessia_Santeramo

    Жыл бұрын

    Carlsen would never play the Scandinavian in an important game. This opening gives White a slight advantage after the opening (more space and control of the center). As Jimmy said, you can still play it. Don't stress about it. At any level below FM any opening can be played
