When you change colors of thread, cut the thread at the spool and pull the thread out through the needle. By pulling it backward you can snag your spring and sensor inside which means repair bills.

@@NeverDenyMe nice vid on this. Id also add that sometimes with these newer plastic body hobby use machines (singer\brother) it runs more smoothly with a steel bobbin spool and the bobbins hold more thread.

Your thread did not look like embroidery thread. Be sure to use embroidery thread and embroidery bobbin thread. Regular sewing thread is too thick for the amount of embroidery stitches that are created. Congrats on your new machine. She is one fine machine!

I am glad you did this video. I have a Babylock Aventura that I have had a little over a year. I have a shop and bought this machine you are demonstrating today to put in my shop. A few things from experience and I learned this from watching KZread. You should cut your thread from the spool and pull the end on the needle down toward you. If you pull the thread from the spool area, you could mess up the tension.

to sew on the patches on the machine using the free motion setting is best. check the manual on it . free motion will disengage the feed dogs and allow you to control the stitching on your own. that way you can follow the shape of the patch. sewing part i know but im totally new to embroidery. what design software do you use? i have a cricut so im used to designing my own stuff and i think i want to carry that over to embroidery as well. by the way thanks again fir these vids. im just sittin here waiting on my machine to come in the mail.

I guess you can say this video is informational... however this is the easiest part of embroidering. I can guarantee everyone else just like me came to this video to see how you made the actual embroidery file. The reason for my comment is cause I see many people asking for the program and how to do it. And yet you don’t have a video for this or seem to reply to peoples comments about this.

Sir I really enjoyed your video. You did not have 3 minuets of talking about this that and other things. You did not say the same things 4 times. I have a Singer xl400 and a Brother VE200 Embroidery only machine. I followed you link and I wanted to wish you good luck. Will give a thumbs up and will subscribe. It’s nice to see a well made video. I make patches myself I digitize them. I usually find free to use graphic images and sometime I create the art work too. You may also look at Colman and company and see their patch supplies and the heat press they sell. I did buy a heat press and it will do heat transfer on tee shirts and use it to apply the iron on patch glue to patches. They have a complete system they offer or you can just use parts and supplies. Best wishes

If someone could answer my question that would be great.. I have a small online clothing startup that has been going well for me but I’m now looking to expand with embroidery on clothing in hopes that it help separate myself from other clothing company’s. MY QUESTION IS.. would you recommend a machine like this for someone who is looking to sell embroidered clothing to customers who already expect a certain level of quality? I don’t want to invest in this if it looks more like a hand-made product vs retail product. I know I can see from the video how well it turns out but if someone who owns the machine can vouch for the quality and feel of the embroidery that would be awesome, thanks!
