I like that you go ahead and tell us which choice to make. It makes the tutorial flow much easier and it allows us to see what the results of those choices are so we can go back later and change them if we want. Great presentation!

Go to Plugins - Add New and install Coming Soon Page & Maintenance Mode by SeedProd (this is what I use). Once you have activated it, go to Settings - Coming Soon Page & Maintenance Mode. Fill in the Page Settings (you can design the look of the page as well by going to the Design tab) and click save. Once you’re done look above the Page Settings make sure you choose Enable Maintenance Mode and click save. What this plugin does is it shows the Maintenance page to your visitors when they land on your site so they know it is under construction. You can continue editing your site at the back and they won’t see it. Don’t forget to change the status once you’re finished. Hope that helps =)

Do you mean google street view or Google maps with the ability to rotate the field of view? I will locate my google map listing on Google maps, turn it to satellite mode, then click the 3D button to toggle 3d mode. After you have arranged the field of view you like, click up into the search bar in the top left bar. There are three lines to symbolize menu. Click that down and select "Share or embed map."

Great tutorial, Hogan. I picked up a few nice tips that I've implemented on my own website. Thank you! In the past I've had trouble getting the Google Maps feature to work using the Themify way. For anyone having the same issues, I just went on Google Maps and clicked share, then embed a map and pasted the code into a text box on Themify Builder. I've had no problems with it now.

Hi Hogan! Love your Themify's videos! I always go back to them for info. I have a question about (feature)image quality on posts. When I upload the feature image, it seems like it go compressed to fit into the standard container size. Which made the image quality very crappy. I tried the image script, but that means I have to adjust every image to the same size. Too time consuming and still not have the best photo quality. What do you recommend to do for feature image? Thanks!

You will need to translate it using a Plugin called WPML (wpml.org/). The WMPL plugin is a popular WordPress translator that allows your site visitors to choose which language they would like to view on your site. Id recommend 3 things: 1. Try using another browser i.e Chrome 2. Clear your history, cache and cookies, retest the builder 3. Disable/deactivate all your other plug-ins, retest. Cheers, Hogan

Thanks so much for this tutorial! (I've watched a few and by far this is the best to learn I feel.) I'm almost up and running on my end, but I'm having some difficulties in terms of the hero image. Although I've tried using your size reference and such, no matter what I do, the hero image always looks blurry. Is there a fix for this or am I missing something? Thanks in advance, Hogan Chua.

Hi, Hogan. Thanks for this wonderful tutorial. One question. When I click the "Turn on builder", I don't get the purple menu you get in the button. It's as if the builder doesn't work. I get no errors in the Chrome console. The Wordpress is hosted on GoDaddy. Any ideas? Can I build what you did using the menu to the left (openen by clicking the purple plus sign i the upper left corner)? Thanks a bunch! Martin

I have a question, how to make the API works on creating the map part? I created a new project and made a new key as you did but there's still a problem showing the map where there's a watermark stating "For development purposes only".

Hi, This is an awesome video! Congrats! I would need some help to my site. In mobile version the opening photo and the headers are not visible. There is only a grey background. The second thing is at the "About Me" section. In mobile version the photo stays at the same position, next to the text and become smaller, however it should go up to the top of the text. Could you please help in this? Thank you for your help!

Awesome theme! Thank you Hong for a great tutorial. I'd suggest adding in a recommended size for the site logo and the sticky header logo. Took some work, but I finally found 150 x 60 px works. However, has anyone had any issues with the pages moving side to side quite a lot on Iphone (SE)? I've noticed Hong's demo site does this and so does the Themify demo site. Also, two other demos sites using this theme do the same? I've tried adjusting sizes of images and text within columns to no avail. Please help!

Hello. I finally got it to work though I noted something interesting. This only happened when I had more than one module on the same row. E.g I added a fancy text and text module and that is what would result to it.

Hogan, great video. Some of the menus look a little different now but I know this was made several years ago. At around 50mins in when creating the first row for the background image. Mine shows up on the builder mode, but not when I go onto the website. any ideas?

You need the slider pro plugin by themify. You can google it. And it should appear. Alternatively you can find other wordpress plugins like "smart slider"
