How to make a minnow trap from a plastic bottle
In this short video I show you how to make a simple minnow trap, that is good for catching bait using only a empty plastic bottle, a thumb tack, and some fishing line.

Slight alteration: Poke 3 holes with a hot piece of metal evenly spaced at rim. Put string/line in one hole and tie as a hinge, it can also be long to anchor it on shore. Put paperclips/wire through the others to seal the rim.

Poor Man's Preparing ugh. Too much work if you want to reuse it over and over. Instead of flipping top of one bottle, try (1) cutting off the top of bottle A like you did in the video. Then, cut off the bottom of bottle B and insert the A-top into the B-bottom. Also, punch a bunch of holes around the bottle so water can get in and let's the bottle sink. Fish swim into the hole in the bottom (A) and then you take the cap off the bottle to pour the fish out (B).
