Hello!! Thank you for commenting on my video and I'm so thrilled to hear that you enjoyed it! I am new to this KZread thing, so it may take me a while to get adjusted. :) I will be posting more videos, so definitely keep an eye out! Thank you! I used 8 ounces of gel wax just for the margarita portion of the candle. However, the amount of gel you will need to make your own will depend on the size of your margarita glass. I then melted down 4 ounces of gel in order to make the ice cubes, although I only used about half of the ice cubes in my candle. I use a 6% fragrance load for all of my gel candles. If you take the weight of the wax (8oz) and multiply it by 6% = you will get 0.48oz which is the amount of fragrance oil needed per candle. Please note, that I did not fragrance the ice cubes as it will alter the shape. I am happy to help so please feel free to ask as many questions as you need! Take care! Best Regards, Diamond

Does this gel wax hold up well in hot weather, say selling them at an outdoor market? I made margarita candles with high density gel wax and took two to an outdoor market, and the wax got soft and goopy. Should I use a different density gel wax?

Hello! Thank you for the comments. Unfortunately, there is no gel wax on the market that holds up well in hot weather. I stopped participating in summer events due to this reason. I'm sorry I don't have better news.

Hello! You have to use zinc core wicks for gel because it takes a much higher temperature to melt the gel then it does for other waxes. I haven't had any issues with the wicks falling in hot weather so long as the candle remains upright. But if you have ice cubes or other toppings as a decoration in your gel candle, they will sink down and merge with the other gel in hotter environments.

Hello! As long as the glassware is heat resistant you should have no issues. I always recommend doing a burn test to ensure that all goes well and never use dainty, thin glassware.
