Have a nice day, I want to ask you something. Any contour lines, polygon points, etc. I can create the digital elevation model in my hand. data are not available. Since I want the DEM data to be precise, I would like Alospalsar, Aster etc. I do not want to use it in maps. Thank you for your video! Consider for the elevation map to avoid Rainbow-color. Rainbow color maps distort your information and is not very friendly for people with colour-weaknesses. Cheers

Hi, I have a temperature dataset in 2 files (.cvs and .xlsx) and I would like to create a geo-referenced map with multiple layers according to the temperature at different time points. A great and useful tutorial. Thanks for that. Anyway, adding Degrees format for the coordinates seems to only work with only with a GCS and not PCS. If my map is projected, is there a workaround to show the degrees instead of decimals?

When you convert the map into a PDF, it looses it's spatial reference properties. I do have experience in using Avenza, but if that imports the PDF as a raw file, then it will not have any way to identify the spatial reference properties from a standalone pdf map

You can create a polygons from the raster based on raster value ranges. Once that's done, you can perform a geometry calculation on each of the polygons

I cant download QGIS. It keeps on saying. That, I need to REPAIR THE INSTALLATION. When I try to REPAIR it. Like an idiot. It doesnt even repair it. It is very frustrating. I spent an hour and a half trying to download it. But NOPE. And, I had to manually remove it. Because, it gives that option. But, doesnt actually work. OMG. I even tried to download the most stable version 3.34 LTR nope. Seems as I am the only person facing this problem.

You can digitize it yourself or use external sources to download the shapefile of your study area. For digitizing, you can refer to the absolute beginners guide to QGIS tutorial

You have already created a study map. If you can tell from the very first beginning of how to create a map from the global map. Then it would be more helpful.

I believe the overall method of creating a map can be extrapolated with some slight modifications depending on the specific case :)

If you want to add grid coordinates that shows latitude and longitude, modify grids and set the crs as wgs-84. Then set the interval other than zero. For example if you set interval as 0.1, then you get grids for every 0.1 degree. If there is much, then set to bigger number.
