Around 7 years ago I saw this video as a kid, I also wanted to make Lego stop motions so I did. I remember I cam from school and work on this huge stop motion video. Now I don’t make stop motions anymore, but I make Lego 3D animations. I just want to thank you for inspiring me to do Lego animations. You have been a huge inspiration❤❤❤
if you dont have a button to take to take pictures try to set a timer for 2 seconds and then it wont shake

This helped me a lot when I was younger. I recommend this video for beginners. Although after 5 years (and more) of animation, I can see some flaws in this that a more advanced animator might not do. Really great tutorial!

This question I get sooooo often, until I get around to making a video about it, this text response will have to do. Get the images onto your computer somehow. Open up your default video editing software (Windows Movie Maker or iMovie). Go to preferences and change the default picture length to about 0.1 seconds. Then drag your pictures into the video editor. Then export/finalize the video :) To add voices, look up "how to add voice in windows movie maker" on KZread. Other tutorials exist.
Algorism brought me back! I was 11 back then and watched ur video as a tutorial. I even made 2 animations! I remember that the lighting was a problem to me. I had no light stands as yours at home so all pictures I took had a different brightness :( But it was a big fun for me at my childhood. So thank you for making this vid back then😁 Hope u stay well !!
i just gotta say i love all of your videos, but this gave me a idea and now i started! thanks!! :)
When you done this you will be proud! trust me :3
Thank you so much for this tutorial I'm planing to do a stop motion Lego series for my channel but I needed help and you told me every thing I need to know thank you. P.S I LOVE LEGOS!!! keep up the good work.
I love your stop motion animations, your humor is awesome. Thanks for the tips.
Thank you very much for this tutorial! I'll try to use those tips about motion and lighting in future brickfilm projects!
I have just updated my website with some helpful tutorial videos not by me, including falling/jumping. Link in description.
Ok am trying
I remember wanting to make stop motions when I was only 5 years old but I never knew how to put it together or anything like that but thanks to you I have a better understanding of stop-motion.
Thank you! This really helped me out! :) Keep making StopMotions your amazing 😃
Thanks for making this video. It's really helpful. When you are talking about using baking paper to cover the lamps, could this be a fire hazard? Thanks in advance
@JettWilliams

TheVMan Thanks! Since baking paper is designed to go in ovens, it seems fine. Just try not to let the bulbs touch the paper as an extra precaution.

Ok, thanks a lot for the quick reply! I also forgot to ask, when using a lamp to make stop motion films, the result of the pictures are often different, what I mean is some of the images are darker than others and it ends up being very flickery when they are all compiled together. Could you please recommend what I do to resolve this? Thanks
@JettWilliams
9 жыл бұрын
TheVMan This has a lot to do with your camera settings. Try to set as many settings as you can to manual so that they don't change between shots. More info: kzread.info/dash/bejne/foSNzaqLotzefaQ.html Also make sure sunlight isn't overpowering the lamps.

Use some support bricks to prop up the figure, then take a picture of the background, then for each picture (this might take some time) crop some of the background over the bricks in the first picture.

Thanks for the tips. I also like how you have a white wall on the side of your set to reflect light back on to your set. Your videos are funny.

I don’t have a high quality camera cos I’m only 11, so I do it on my iPad and make it in an app called stop motion, then once I’m done I save the video and add sound FX and audio there. I know I’m late but I felt like it’s better late than never, so I sort of hope I helped.
