How to Make A Krampus Mask - Free PDF Pattern - Perfect for Cosplay or Christmas Decorations

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

How to Make A Krampus Mask Perfect for Cosplay or your Christmas Decor. Have you have ever wanted to make a Krampus mask for the holiday season? Well here is your chance! In this video I show the step by step process of how I built this Krampus mask using HD EVA Foam and sculpting Foam Clay. Plus to help you out I have Free PDF files available to download on my website so you can build your own Krampus Mask right along with the video! What's great is that the templates can also be used to create a goblin, demon, just horns, or Krampus himself.
I will also go over the acrylic paints and applications used to complete this mask and give it that realistic scary vibe. Finally I will go over the techniques used to attached the faux fur to the foam mask to simulate his beard and hair.

**To properly print the template open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader and click "poster" in the page size tab. This will scale the pattern properly over several sheets of paper regardless of your paper size.**

    Hello ! I want to very much thank you for showing what can be done with grey/high density foam. I had a small chunk of a similar kind laying around from a sample pack from a european seller and somehow never really gave it a try, probably because I kept seing the black low density one being used everywhere. Your videos make it obvious that it has tremendous advantages because of its smooth finish and overall stability. So again, thank you for that and congratulations on the fantastic work !

    Another outstanding build. I'm in awe with the whole horns, from the 2 mm foam technique, the texture and the paint job. I also saw a bit of the creature from the black lagoon at the 4:00 mark during the fabrication. I do have one question regarding the hobby knife: how well does it keep its edge versus a box cutter? So far, on the small things I did, I worked with 10mm floor mats and those get the box cutter out of edge pretty quickly. I'm thinking in changing to 6 mm for some things, but would like to know before hand if the hobby knife will require sharpening more frequently.

  • @SKSProps

    @SKSProps

    2 жыл бұрын

    First off thanks! When cutting 10mm I def use a utility knife. I just use my hobby on 2,4,6. Also floor mats are much tougher. Cutting my HD-foam is a lot easier and cleaner because of its higher density. I do use my knife sharpener quite a bit to keep a good edge to maintain a good cut

  • @SKSProps

    @SKSProps

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thanks! I like contact cement for large areas and heavy wear parts. But I prefer super glue when I have smaller details and along the edges. Heat can mess with the contact cement when heat sealing so having the glue along the edge will make sure all of those details stay in place

    I know you said this could be used to make different kinds of masks, but good grief you could make *so many* different kinds of masks. Green Goblin as another commentor suggested, or a witch, or a yeti, or a monstrous Old Man Winter. Leave off the horns & change the fur color, and you've got Blackbeard the Pirate. I really need to try my hand at this some day.
