How to Make a Juniper Bonsai
As a species, junipers are some of the most flexible and forgiving trees to begin a bonsai composition. In this breakdown of how to make a bonsai, we walk you through the fundamental steps of front selection, creation of deadwood, setting of structure, and wiring of your pads. This process can be applied to any piece of nursery stock or accessible piece of material to warrant the very best results and provide the backbone for juniper bonsai creation.

Thank you Bonsai Mirai, highly appreciated 👍
Wow. Fantastic process with an awesome result.
I am impressed with the contrast of the deadwood & the living bark... Great contrast - it adds depth & interest to the piece it actually looks like two trees intertwined.... Thank you for your artistry & explanations. Great teaching
Nice entrance…smooth and cool😎🌿🌿🥇🏆🥇😎
Dude you’re the man. Idk why but yours are the only bonsai videos I ever learn anything from.
Grazie Maestro...what an amazing video. Beautiful creation, a whole life of effort, experience and knowledges here.
Nice job bro! Very good video with good instruction.
I think that handing down plants thru many generations is pretty mystical!
the explanation to find the best front with the sticks was the best I ve seen so far. thanks!
Both rugged and elegant. Beautiful.
I am a novice in bonsai technique and I can say that this video is educational and with a lot of technicality in all aspects that even made me feel like in a classroom Thank you for sharing.
Love this channel
I remember watching this live, was pretty awesome tbh many great lessons learned
The timing of this video is perfect for me. I have a Sargent Juniper that I've been growing from nursery stock for four or five years, and I've been planning to start styling it this year. I had been unsure about what directions I would take with it, but since it looks very similar to the specimen in the video, I now have a lot more ideas and confidence to move ahead. Thank you!
Thank you, Ryan!
Best wiring tutorial I've ever seen
Glad this is back, I was paused when it was pulled down. Very happy to finish the video.
Thank you so much for this great video, a lot of info packed into 33 minutes!...Love it!!! you are a great artist.
Ryan, thank you very much for sharing your valuable knowledge of bonsai. 🙂
Thank you so much. Your Sensei would be so proud of you of all that you have contributed to the art of Bonsai
You are very talented I have watched one to many of your videos you spend to much time talking I believe people learn more from viewing not so much audio. I appreciate your talent✌️

I see your not trying to insult the guy, but you clearly don’t understand how the theory side of bonsai is the most important part. You can’t demonstrate horticultural theory without language.
Amazing Juniper bonsai, thank you for sharing Mr
Simply put, this is a top quality instructional video packed with relevant information and experience. Thank you for sharing!
Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing! I’m barely a beginner and have absolutely falling in love with trying to create Bonsai!

Nicely done. Ryan I've been learning so much from you these past few years. My yamadori sagebrush in my icon would of killed over a long time ago if wasn't for you teaching me the skills I needed to better understand how to properly care for it. It's four years old and continues to thrive in my care for that I can't thank you enough.

AMAZING video!
Thanks for sharing another great informative video
Awesome. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Ryan
Ryan, it'd be very useful to say in each video what date/month/season it is when you perform the work, since the video posting date may not match leaving us guessing when we should apply the concepts to our trees. Thank you for all your videos, I've learned a ton.
Great video, thanks
This is awesome, what a master ! Thank you so much !
Thank you! I'm learning so much from you... you're an amazing teacher ... you're passion is infectious Love&Light eno
Very well presented!!
That defining branch, boom.
Ryan, I love your videos (I'm a subscriber on Bonsai Mirai, which is awesome!). I still can't wrap my head around how you can do that much work on a juniper in one shot and have it live. I understand that this was an already healthy juniper, but seriously what's your secret?! (Wizard?) I've been sticking to one thing at a time either repot or pruning or wiring or deadwood, and yet I still have a few that still don't make it. Is there a special after care regimen?
Saya suka apa yang di bicarakan disini, bonsai wonderfull👍👍
Krása stíhá nádheru.
I have watch some of your videos. Very informative. Some i learned i share it to on my channel .. More power to you😊😊😊. Good greetings from the Philippines

Very nice good job
Echt super gemacht
This fool articulate than a mug. I appreciate that.
I loved this video very much. I feel like I've learned so many tips for styling and wiring techniques. I just got a quick question: What is when you refer to positive and negative spaces?
@bravofoxable
2 жыл бұрын
Just like in art... Positive spaces are areas occupied by a shape or form. Negative spaces are the areas in between and around those positive spaces. They can help draw attention to features an artist considers important.... Hope this helps you?

@@bravofoxable thank you!!
I like this video
That entrance though...
I really enjoy your videos they are so informative and you make them easy to understand no matter what level/experience you may have thank you for sharing. Being fairly new to the art of Bonsai, my question is when would you remove the wiring? I would think that those tertiary branches would defiinatley thicken/grow over the growing season, so do I need to keep an eye on them as not to let the wire cut into branch(s)?
Wait wasn’t this already posted before
