Nice video. These horseshoe coin cases were very popular about 40 years ago. And very practicle. But I do not see them anywhere for sale anymore. So the only way is to make one yourself. This video is a big help. But I'm happy that You Tube has the possibility to change the speed to 25% of the original speed. That was way too quick for me. Thanks for sharing.

According to this chart, found on the internet, 2.5 is no11, not no8, like the description in your video

I bought your pattern but the youtube link for the tutorial in the pdf says no longer available. I hope this is not it because you moving 100MPH with no narration is kind of useless to me.

Dear Greg thank you for buying the pattern. I am here to help you. Please tell me how and I will do my best to assist you. I have tried to use the link in the pdf and it worked fine with me, in any cases you could find the video as you are commenting on it and you could also see it on the page of my website before your purchase here: am-leathercraft.com/collections/coin-cases/products/horse-shoe-coin-case-patterns-video-tutorial Contact me and I will make sure everything is working fine for you. Thanks!

I thought this was it but was hoping for something a little different like maybe this was a preview. I'm just used to tutorials having narration. This video does show how you assemble it but it goes so fast it's difficult to tell what you're doing in places. It's probably just me. It will be fine. Thanks for responding.

Dear Greg, KZread allows you to play the video slower, just click the gear icon on the right end corner of the video and select speed. Maybe this can help

Thank you, I wasn't aware of that. I'm sure it will help. The problem for me is the speed and I know you were trying to get the whole thing into just a few minutes but that is what has proved difficult for me. Thanks again for replying.

    recommended thickness of leather?

  • @dirkwesterhoff3766

Hello, with this pattern it would be necessary to specify which leather (oz.) has to be used. Unfortunately this information is missing. The connection of the gussets are also not done so nicely. Why double? Too bad about the wasted time and leather.

Crafted a beautiful traditional piece of leather. Unfortunately, in the video, right at the beginning, the wrong side of the coin case flap is covered with glue (approx. 56 sec.). Even if it remains in the video like this, a small note about this mistake would be appropriate. I find the individual steps in the video very difficult to understand. The speed, which is much too fast, can easily be reduced on KZread. I would have expected more from you .
